Reading Challenge Project Options A book trailer is a video advertisement for a book which uses techniques similar to those of movie trailers to promote books and hook readers into wanting to read the book. You can use videos or pictures/images to create a trailer. Add music or narrate. Be sure to match the mood of the genre to the book. For example, if it is a mystery, the music should be haunting. If the book is funny, the music should be more whimsical. Should be 45-60 seconds in length. Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4cxmgsppew&index=30&list=plfwtpsmbwgyvrdn5ewdftgxcxkvnqrecn uses symbols and quotes from a novel to create a poster. Select symbols to place and draw on 8.X11 construction paper. Then select memorable quotes to weave around the symbols. Be sure to include the book title on your poster. Be neat and colorful! Mandatory: You must use the quote and symbol log attached to the menu. This must be turned in with your quote art project. Example: Select two books you read this summer to go head-to-head in battle! Create an 11x14 poster depicting the match-up between the two books. Poster should include a drawing or picture of the book covers, a brief student-written summary, and at least 5 categories to demonstrate comparison (ie Characters, Theme, etc).
