This iniative is managed through the Western Interstae Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) and I was one of the authors from seven states that created the Learner Outcomes and Proficiency Criteria for the knowledge area of Creative Expression in meetings held in Boulder, Colorado. Music Entrepreneurship Course Researcher and Developer In collaboration with Dr. Cecilia Kang, I researched current undergraduate music majors and practicing teachers to determine new music content areas which should be delivered through course work and added to our curriculum guides. After receiving our research information and analyzing music education trends, we designed the new required course, Music Entrepreneurship. North Dakota State University Music Education Symposium Co-Creator and Administrator Beginning in 2009, in collaboration with Dr. Warren Olfert, I co-created and administered a weeklong, immersive summer music education symposium. This symposium serves as one of our required courses for students pursuing the Master of Music in Music Education. During this symposium and course, Master of Music in Music Education candidates discuss and learn about contemporary issues in music education. Our biennial event contains lectures, research and presentations by nationally-known luminaries, such as Clifford Madsen, Peter Boonshaft, Robert Duke, Alice-Ann Darrow; North Dakota State University Faculty and music educators throughout the region. North Dakota State University Online Courses Developer I researched and created two online courses, The History of Choral Literature and Advanced Elementary Methods for North Dakota State University s Master of Music in Music Education curriculum. I assisted in the creation of two other courses, Graduate Theory Survey and and Jazz Methods and Pedagogy in Music Education.

North Dakota State University Student Teaching Capstone Reviewer I was a member of the student teacher capstone requirements review committee.
