Message from the Artistic and Executive Director on behalf of the President, Chairman, and Board of Directors Vancouver Kiwanis Music Festivals Society (VKMFS) Welcome to the 96th year of Inspiring Musical Excellence! Congratulations to everyone involved for their accomplishments and commitment. The results of many hours of dedicated practice, discipline, and focus will be showcased by the performers and leaders at this year s Choral Festival. Our 2019 adjudicators are Mr. Robert Filion, Dr. Danica Hoffart, and Ms. Erica Phare-Bergh. They will provide valuable feedback, wisdom, and encouragement to nearly 1800 singers. We invite you to read more about our adjudicators lifelong devotion to music education in the following pages of your program book. The supporters and partners of the VKMFS have created important platforms needed to provide our youth with meaningful opportunities to advance their musical knowledge and abilities. The continuing goal is to inspire the next generation of students to make music and be involved in the community. I am honoured to be a part of this 96 year history, and grateful to everyone involved for helping to bring people together to share the love of music. Thank you to all sponsors, donors, teachers, students, volunteers, and staff for your dedication and support! Yours truly, Christine Han Artistic and Executive Director Staff Christine Han, Artistic and Executive Director Lynn van Zanten, Development Director Gaël Chabot-Leclerc, Group Festivals Administrator Andrew Hildred, Volunteer Engagement Coordinator Emily Yu, Administrative Assistant Lenora Doyle, Bookkeeper Paddy Tennant, Graphic Designer 2 VANCOUVER KIWANIS MUSIC FESTIVALS CHORAL FESTIVAL 2019
