Sheboygan Performing ARTS DIRECTORY SheboyganPerformingArts.com

S The arts whatever they do and whenever they call us together invite us to look at our fellow human beings with generosity and curiosity. If we have ever needed that capacity in human history, we need it now. Ben Cameron Doris Duke Foundation

Welcome In this Sheboygan Performing Arts Directory, we invite you to explore the thousands of opportunities you have to experience creative expression in all its glory. Sheboygan Performing Arts (SPA) is a collaborative association of performance-based organizations in Sheboygan County. Its mission is to promote the performing arts and the vital role they play in our community s culture, economy, and quality of life. In these pages, you will find all of the performing arts in Sheboygan County in one place. Did you know there was such creative culture right here in Eastern Wisconsin? Members of SPA have come together to nurture this culture because we believe in its importance. We know how it enhances our community and enlivens our collective self. The performing arts are in essence not about the arts but expressing our human spirit. This spirit defies being captured and understood but that hasn t stopped us from trying. And, the more we try, the closer we get to reaching that which we can only imagine. In our struggle, we find beauty in the unexpected, power in the unexplained, and exhiliration in the quest. We will hopefully never fully grasp the arts is that not part of their lure? But, if we nurture them, they will afford us excellence, excitement, enlightenment and, most of all, they will always enhance our human condition. Whether as witness or performer, we invite you to be present for the expression, the spirit, and the joy. S Members of Sheboygan Performing Arts
