POST ROCK DISTRICT 4-H DAY FEBRUARY 9, 2019 FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH BELOIT, KANSAS Welcome - We re glad you re getting involved in this year s 4-H Day event! Whether you re giving a talk, singing a solo, or participating in a skit, the public presentation skills you are building will last you a lifetime! For Your Information Scheduling Only talent and music entries have been assigned a performance time. 4-H members have the opportunity to select their time for other events. When you arrive at the church for 4-H Day you must go to the rooms of events you have entered and sign up for your time (there will be a sign-up sheet on each competition room door.) IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU ARRIVE EARLY IN THE DAY AND SIGN UP. WE CANNOT EXPECT OUR JUDGES TO STAY PAST THE TIME LIMIT LISTED ON THE SCHEDULE. Ribbons Official results will be posted as they become available on a poster near the library. As soon as the judge finishes judging each category, critique sheets will be taken to the library where ribbons will be attached to the judges comment sheets. You may pick your critique sheets and ribbons up before you leave. One OPS (Outstanding Presentation Sensation) award will be given if deserving in each category. Important Rules No food or drinks in any room No running or extra noise in the hallway Enter rooms between events only There will not be a concession stand Storage Room The Fellowship Hall area will be used to store supplies, coats, posters, etc. Room Monitors ( Arrive early to make sure your room is ready ( When presenter is ready, close the door and introduce them ( Keep the room quiet at all times ( Keep the room schedule updated by checking off presentations that are given ( When judge has finished a category, check that each entry has been placed ( Express appreciation to your judge for being a part of the days events Practice Room ( The Quilters Room will be a practice room for music only.
