In the midst of all our trials and tribulations, our faith sustains us as it has so many of the generations that have come before us. NAVE The RIVERSIDE CHOIR, SOLOISTS, & ORCHESTRA Brahms Requiem On Mother s Day, The Riverside Choir offers A German Requiem one of the great masterworks of the choral and orchestral literature initially composed as a response to the death of his dear friend, the composer Robert Schumann. Brahms universal message of solace, comfort and hope, composed as a personal musical memorial dedicated to his mother, uses biblical texts different from those found in the traditional Latin Requiem. $25/$20. NAVE The ANNUAL RIVERSIDE CHURCH CANDLELIGHT CAROL FESTIVAL This longstanding tradition at The Riverside Church has become an essential part of Christmas in New York City. This service of music and light combines carillon, organ, harp, and all of the choirs of The Riverside Church, culminating in a ritual sharing of candlelight illuminating the Nave. SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18 Pennies from Heaven Celebrate the Great American Songbook with soprano Tammy Mesic and jazz pianist Matt King as they team up for solos and duets of American classics and show tunes from the 1920 s to today. SUNDAY, JANUARY 13 Four Hand Band An entertaining tag team piano-four hand duo, Sasha Papernik and Alexander Wu perform a crossover range of music from Broadway and Classical to Jazz and Tango. - 6 -

We promise you will never enter a post office again the same way! Proceeds benefit The Catherine Van Buren Riverside Choir Endowment Fund. $20/$15. Tickets available at the door. Lind, Carillonneur Organ Recital by Christopher Creaghan, Associate Organist Combined Choirs of the Annual English Handbell Festival The Riverside Ringers host a weekend gathering of bell choirs from throughout the region, combining forces to perform a glorious concert on Sunday afternoon, under the leadership of special guest conductors Eileen Laurence and William H. Griffin. As always, the performance will be a sight to behold and will fill the Nave with splendor! $20/15. Tickets available at the door. - 8 -

SUNDAY, MAY 5 at 1:00 P.M. 9th FLOOR, TOWER The RIVERSIDE RISING VOICES SPRING CONCERT and FAMILY LUNCHEON Matthew Hommez, Director Celebrate the talents of our gifted young people in an afternoon of music and fellowship. This year s program will feature spirituals, gospel music, and contemporary compositions from around the world. The members of the Rising Voices will also perform musical solos and share special poems. $10 suggested donation at the door.
