3 rd International Conference September 21 st - 23 rd 2011 Brno, Czech Republic, EU Instructions for authors of papers and posters Dear Sir, Madam, Conference proceeding consists of printed form of list of papers & posters with abstracts and CD-ROM containing full text of papers/posters. Below you can find guidelines (layout, style and format) for paper and presentation. Abstract/Paper - General Guidelines The abstract and paper text should be submitted in English. Please use a text editor MS Word, the A4 format, 20 mm all edges and 1.2 spacing. The recommended length for abstract is up to 250 words, for paper up to 6 pages of text including pictures. Please send us your abstract/paper formatted according to below stated template - Directions on one s behalf preparation text benefit..., see page 2, 3. Presentation - General Guidelines The presentation should take 12 min + discussion should take 3 min. Please follow below mentioned instructions for presentation, see page 4. Poster - Size of a poster is 150cm (Height) x 100cm (width) max. We would like to inform you that you can register to the conference and send full text of papers/posters till deadline August 15 th 2011 at the latest. Program of the conference and other information will be available on the conference web site during August 2011. For your information, the conference fees will be as follows: Authors with paper or poster 210 EUR Other participants 240 EUR Students 150 EUR Lunch, refreshment and social event ticket included Official Invitation Letter for visa applying (Issuing& Posting) 20 EUR Official Invitation Letter will be issued and posted only when payment of full conference fee is made. The participants will cover the board and their accommodation by themselves. The paper/poster will not be published in the conference proceedings without payment of the conference fee. For text part use 10 points and spacing 1.2 and align the text in block. The recommended length of a paper is up to 6 pages of text, including pictures. Keywords: direction, memorial, volume SECTION We recommend to split the text to numbered sections and subsections, for example 1.1, 1.2 etc. It is recommended to use 1.2 line spacing. However, when using more complicated mathematical formulas, it is necessary to extend slightly the space between lines so that the upper and lower index fonts are legible. The text should be typed in such a way to complete the given frame entirely. There are only two exceptions from this rule: (i) do not start to type the new chapter name on the last line, (ii) you may exceed the frame only by one line at the bottom, to complete a paragraph. Use the italic type to highlight some text. 1.1 Subsection Please use the Arial font with size 10 points in subsections. 1.2 Proceedings papers Proceedings papers will be issued: on paper, abstracts according to the authors and breakdown by symposia in electronic form on CD-ROM - full text papers including images. Having regard to the electronic form of proceedings is possible to include color images and graphs as well. Please page on bottom in the middle and use the specific header and footer for writing paper. In the case of very larger file (tens of megabytes), please compress it. Physical quantities must be typed according to the valid standards. 2

LITERATURE References to sources used should be placed immediately below end of main text. Do not start on a new page it is not needed. References to the literature highlight the text in Arabic numbers, number continuously and include the reference numbers in order as they appear in the text. Please write the references according to the standard bibliographic citations of which are four basic examples in the guide. 3

INSTRUCTIONS FOR POWERPOINT PRESENTATION PowerPoint presentation should be input to conference system on www.nanocon.cz as possible, deadline is Sept 20 th at the latest. Also, you can upload it personally min. half an hour before presentation of your paper.
