[Melbourne]; Library Committee of the Commonwealth Parliament; 1914-1925 and (1971). ***All published in the original series. Volumes I and IX in Series I are the 1971 reprints (as usual); the remainder are all the original printings. THIS COLLECTION IS AN INDISPENSABLE REFERENCE FOR THE SERIOUS STUDENT OF AUSTRALIAN HISTORY. It has been fully collated in detail, and is quite complete and in good order, but for the following trifling faults to Series I & III: In Series I, Volume II has the margins to the Introduction trimmed rather close with the slight loss of the ends of lines on two pages; Volume VI has one 16-page section repeated with nothing omitted; Volume IX has 16 pages offset with slight loss of clarity, but still quite legible; Volume XIII has half-title & title-page slightly creased; Volume XIV has an original paper flaw to pp. 227/8 with loss of a few letters; in Series III, Volume II lacks pp. xvii-xxiv but these pages are supplied in good facsimile, as are copies of the few slightly defective pages to Series I mentioned above. These sets are probably rarely collated and few sets are likely to be absolutely without fault, but as stated above this set has been checked in detail and the few defects made good.
