Website is for the web series in progress The Quiet Canadians which is being created by a local production company Habethy. Who is your audience? Audience are locals in the film industry and people who are looking forward to the web series release. What is the website s purpose? How will you meet the user s needs / educate them? Website s purpose is to inform on the progress of the web series and what it is about. There will be links to where you can buy the book the series is based on, information about the production company, author, actors and series progress.
Wireframes Inspiration: I looked at many different film websites and gave the producers links to some of the better designed sites for inspiration. They really liked the look of The Hobbit website, and wanted to go with something similar in style and layout. Official movie websites tend to look very different from a business website and also tend to have more creative and unorthodox navigation. Most movie websites don t have standard global navigation bars at the top of page, and instead rely on a local navigation to the side. Quiet Canadians is a novel written by local author Warren Thompson. The novel is about Canada s fictional spy agency and their involvement in covert activities. I printed Warren s novels at my previous job and he put me in contact with Habthey Film Productions to work on their graphic and web design projects. The Quiet Canadians is a fictional look into Canada s involvement in covert and clandestine activities. It presents a view of how operatives are recruited into the profession and trained. Based on the novel by Warren Thompson, the story follows an operative fresh from a recent operation that has left him with a secret enemy to thwart. The Producers have adapted this novel into a serialized drama for the web. As the series progresses, flashbacks to the operative s young life and how he was recruited and trained into this profession will inform the person he needs to be in order to face this dangerous opponent. Action Genre Lovers - Through our involvement on action, spy and martial arts websites, facebook groups and forums, we are engaging with fans of the genre to get them to watch the episodes online as they are released. The Quiet Canadians style is inspired by the Hong Kong martial arts films and recent spy thrillers like Bridge of Spies, and the creators have engaged with several stunt coordinators and consultants to ensure the action and stakes are high-quality and as realistic as possible, which should delight action and spy thriller fans alike. < Red scroll bar indicates there is more text to scroll through About the Author: Warren Thompson
- David James Lewis David James Lewis is the only cast member so far. There is currently an open casting call for local Vancouver actors for specific roles. David James Lewis Born and raised in Vancouver BC, David James Lewis knew from an early age that he wanted to be an actor. At the beginning of his career David cut his teeth on commercials, independents and numerous short films, one of them being 1999 s Shoes Off which won the Best Short Film at the Cannes Film Festival. David continues to enjoy and contribute to the independent film scene and in fact finds it some of his most rewarding work to date. Over the years David has worked opposite Ashton Kutcher and Michelle Pfeiffer in Personal Effects. The Day the Earth Stood Still with Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly and William H. Macy in the award winning film Door to Door. Previous television work includes Dead Like Me, The L Word X-Files Supernatural Fringe and every third Movie of the Week over the past 10 years. Most recently David has had recurring roles on Girlfriends Guide to Divorce and 2 seasons on Motive. Also a writer, David worked on writing and helping with the creation of the web series Parked as well as writing a variety of short films. One of them being Stalled which went on to play in 23 film festivals worldwide.
Habethy Film Productions is a husband and wife team located in Burnaby, BC. Anthony Epp Helena Thom : Habethy Film Productions produces feature films and web media content for audiences worldwide. We seek to provide opportunities in each of our media and film projects for people to excel, to take creative risks, and to showcase their talents and expertise. Our first feature film project, 13 Miles, combines a feature film movie with collaboration from the triathlon community to build a web series filled with inspiring stories of triumph and personal accomplishments. We strive for integrity, creativity, quality and fun in every aspect of our work.
