Swapping GMA 1 & GMA 2 (GMA 36) on Citation 750+ Garmin G5000 Software Version 25 Caution: Caution: Caution: Caution: Before starting the software or configuration loading process, certain items may be required to be recorded first, to prevent loss of information or settings. See Section 1 for details. Make certain that all SD cards are available before starting. These are usually located in a blue pouch onboard the aircraft (usually in AFM). Follow all steps in a given section for specific loadings. Failure to do so will result in probable rework. Ensure that power is available through a GPU so that power is not interrupted during the loading process. Select Home on the left MFD GTC controller. o Select Utilities. o Select Setup. o Select Avionics Status. o Select the Airframe tab on the left side. o Verify that the configuration ID (CRC Number) matches the number determined in Appendix B based on the options installed in the aircraft. o Select the LRU Info tab on the left side. Verify that all the LRUs are showing green check mark. o Select the MSG button: Verify there is no DB Mismatch message present. Verify there is no Manifest message present. Verify there is no Config message present. If the initial radar trims were not zero: o Select Home on the left GTC controller. o Select Aircraft Systems. o Select Maintenance. o Enter password CACCDMS. o Select Radar Trim. Enter the Pitch and Roll trims recorded in section 1. Return to Service Testing For testing, complete section 7.16 in the Garmin G5000 LMM. 7
Section 4 Troubleshooting This section will provide corrective actions for issues seen after the software is loaded. Substitute LRU name for ***. *** DB Error or *** DB Mismatch o Ensure that the supplemental SD cards are installed in the lower slots of the displays. o Databases do not match. o Verify which database is not the same, and reload as necessary. *** Manifest Error o Software does not match what the system is expecting. o Check work performed and reload necessary software again. *** Config o Configurations do not match what the system is expecting. o Check work performed and reload necessary configurations again. 8
Appendix A Determining Options Installed Note: This is with the G5000 powered up in normal mode. Caution: If any optional radio appears to have an amber X and is grayed out as in this example, then the LRU is not installed, but was previously loaded incorrectly. Determine Options Installed Dual HF o HF 1 & HF 2 are seen on the AUDIO & RADIO screen of either MFD GTC 570. GDL69 o From the Home screen of either MFD GTC 570, touch the Weather button. Then touch Weather Selection. The option is installed if Sirius XM Settings is displayed. ADF o ADF controls are seen on the AUDIO & RADIO screen of either MFD GTC 570. GSR56 o From the Home screen of either MFD GTC 570, touch the Services button. A button marked Telephone will appear. 9
Appendix B Configuration ID / CRC Numbers This section will provide details on determining the correct configuration ID or CRC number for a particular 750+ aircraft based on the installed options. Through the rest of this section the number will be referred to as a CRC number for simplification. Note: Radar trims that are not at zero for both pitch and roll will cause the number to be different. Ensure they are at zero before verification. Note: Once the CRC number is verified, then the radar trims can be adjusted to the original values. See section 4 for details. Every combination of options that have been ordered or delivered is listed. If you have an aircraft that has been modified in the field that now has a combination not listed, please contact Team X at citationx@txtav.com. Each option is assigned a letter to ensure accuracy when comparing the combination of options to the final number. Options Dual HF --A-- GDL 69 B ADF C GSR 56 D Example: Aircraft has Dual HF, GDL 69, and GSR 56. Its code should be ABD. This equates to a CRC number of 37CDF051. 10
