Raf Keunen Composer After completing a degree in philosophy, Raf Keunen undertook studies in composition and orchestration at the Royal Music School of Brussels. He starts his career as a film music composer in 2004 when he writes the score for two different short movies : CARLO and THE ONE THING TO DO by Michael R. Roksam, before working with him on BULLHEAD (Jury and Critics Award at the Beaune Festival of and Awards winner of Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor at the Austin Fantastic Festival, Texas nominated for the Best Foreign Film, Oscars- Academy Awards 2012). Raf Keunen composes music for theatre, most notably for the play N.Q.Z.C by Wayn Traubs, presented in 2007 at the Theatre of Paris. In 2014, Raf signs the original score for PLAN BART directed by Roel Mondelaers, as well as the music of LE TEMPS DE L AVENTURE directed by Jérôme Bonnel. He collaborates with Raphaël Crombez on his short film PERDITION COUNTRY which received the Public Prize on the Ghent Film Festival 2014. He also composes the score of TETE BAISSEE directed by Roel Mondelaers released in 2015. In 2017, he works again with Michael R. Roskam and composes the music of the feature film RACER AND THE JAILBIRD. 2018 is a busy year for Raf Keunen. He is currently working on four projects including Christian Volckman s feature movie SPRINGWELL starring Olga Kurylenko, THE SPY directed by Jens Jonsson and the TV series JEUX D INFLUENCE by Jean-Xavier de Lestrade which will be broadcasted on Arte.
