MOBILE TOUCH VIDEO WALL FOR TOMMY HILFIGER The huge video wall featuring touch functionality is based on a concept by German multi-touch specialist MMT. The end product is a mobile and modular touch video wall that can be easily installed and dismantled and which can be smoothly integrated into diverse trade show and event environments as a freestanding solution. This mobile and temporarily usage of the wall naturally makes high demands on the applied components, which are easily met by the stable construction by MMT, its touch system and the robustly engineered eyevis displays. The wall used by Hilfiger consists of a screen with twelve 55-inch seamless LCD displays by eyevis in a 4by3 arrangement offering a total screen diagonal of about 207 inches (ca. 527 cm). With a total resolution of 7680 x 3240 pixels the fashion label gets access to a huge screen that enables to show images and videos in high-definition. MMT s integrated touch system recognises up to 40 simultaneous touch actions. By this, many consumers can interact with the content i.e. tap on points of information, pick styles and eventually get pointed to the web shop via a QR code at the same time and at different places. This advanced showroom concept combines digital avant-garde with the strengths of stationary trade. Société Immobilière Audi S.A.R.L was the company awarding the contract for the installation of media equipment meeting the latest technological standard. macom Stuttgart A/V planning engineers were responsible for developing the audiovisual solutions. Amptown System Company won the tender for the procurement and installation of media equipment, for programming audio, light, and video control and for overall system commissioning. In the ground floor rooms of Audi City Paris innovative media equipment enables visitors to configure and customise a car to their wishes and to admire what they have created on any of the four powerwalls consisting of 3 x 3 seamless 55 LCD screens made by eyevis. REMOTE PRESENTATIONS FOR LEADING GERMAN MUSEUMS OF THE LEIBNIZ ASSOCIATION On the occasion of the 370th birthday and the 300th anniversary of the death of Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, the Leibniz research museums started a joint, interactive exhibition. Each of the eight museums selects objects from his collection. These exhibits from the exhibition 8 Objects, 8 Museums will be shown and explained in a simultaneous exhibition at each of the eight eyevis multi-touch display tables. Each table consists of a 84-inch touch screen with Ultra-HD resolution and LED backlight. These are the largest touch displays for permanent horizontal table operation with a screen size of approx. 2.05 x 1.15 m and a 50-point touch surface on an infrared base. A special bracing ensures that the displays remain absolutely plane and do not bend even when reaching higher temperatures in operation. The new 36,000 square meter IP-based facility supports 24/7 broadcasting for a number of channels, including RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg, Chamber TV (Luxembourg), RTL TVI, Club RTL, Plug TV (Belgium), RTL4, RTL5, RTL7, RTL8, RTL Z (Netherlands), RTL9 and AB Groupe movie channels and SFR Sports channels (France). In addition to the diverse available screen shapes there is also the possibility to define customised shapes and special mechanic components for the installation. omnishapes can even be assembled in curved arrangements, both convex and concave. Also digital display floors have already been realised with our multi-functional display units. Digital images of the highest quality and reliability can be guaranteed through the use of DLP technology with an LED light source for the projector. The flexible and user-friendly building block design of the omnishapes comprising a robust base frame unit, the projector, and the screen, allow for their simple installation and trouble-free maintenance. Regardless the configuration, the connections for signal and control can simply be daisy-chained from one module to the other. The internal image processing ensures that every omnishape in the chain shows the correct part of the overall image signal according to its position in the configuration. The adjustment and assignment of the signal sources as well as the settings for various additional parameters can easily be achieved through the intuitive eyedesign software. The latest generation of our omnishapes is optionally available with 120 Hz technology which enables the display of threedimensional images in combination with active shutter glasses.
