It seems as though we just celebrated Christmas! I pray that you all stay well and that the music you prepare for the Holy Week is meaningful for you and the congregation you serve. The Nominating Committee chaired by Priscilla Ortoski has been at work and will soon publish a slate of Officers for the 2013-2014 year. I will be stepping down from the Office of Dean but will continue to serve the chapter in some capacity. Bill Rockenfeller, who has served so well as Treasurer will also be retiring after several years of service to our chapter. Thank you Bill, for the fine job you have done in staying on top of our finances, mailing newsletters, helping with the directory, and doing countless other tasks for our chapter! Your dedication to our chapter is much appreciated! This is also a busy season for our guild chapter. First, we have the events of the Early Music Festival, coordinated by Carol Alexander. The three events include a concert by the Bay Baroque Ensemble on Friday evening, March 1, a Student Recital on Saturday morning, March 2 and a concert by the Bach Choir which Carol directs on Sunday, March 10. Please support these concerts with your attendance. The details about these concerts are on this page. Our April event will be the Massimo Nosetti recital at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on Sunday, April 21 at 3 p.m. Finally, I would like to remind you again about the date change for the Spring Banquet. The new date is Monday, May 13 at 6 p.m. The banquet location is still St. Jerome s Catholic Church. Please mark your calendar. See you at the Early Music Festival, Kevin V.
