Major Initiatives Infrastructure Development Updating of the Current council Website to include the following heads: o Addition of Information regarding the Clubs o An Online tutorial Library for amateurs to start learning o Blog Section to be invited from the Campus Community for SFS and Anime Society o Updating the ongoing and upcoming projects of all the clubs for better access for the junta Android App for Vox Populi for better dissemination of Information and a better culture of Journalism Introduction of an online polling system on the website for Movie and Match Screening An online forum for better and healthy discussions to be made available on the Website for SFS and Vox populi Workshops and Sessions Specific Photography session for Faculty Members to be organised for Conferences and Symposiums Interactive Sessions with Alumni in the fields related to Films and Media Talks will be organised as a part of spectrum to promote a more active participation in Spectrum Sessions targeted on Design of posters and PPTs for Conferences and Symposiums Competitions and Participation Monthly Competitions will be organised for more active participation in the council Attempts will be made to participate in various inter-collegiate festivals and competitions subject to availability of dates Short projects will be organised so as to encourage participation without compromising other involvements of the students community Inter-Council Collaborative Projects A short Web series will be produced in association with Dramatics Club Film Galas will be organised in association with English Literary Society to promote a more productive culture of Film watching Original and Innovative Designs will be promoted via association with Fine Arts Club 2

Major Events Spectrum Problem statements will be released at least two weeks prior to the event for proper preparation time to the various pools I plan to cut down a little bit on the number of competitions to be organised in spectrum so that a quality participation can be expected considering the past few years experience Competitions will be broadly divided into two categories o focussing on more number pf participation o Focusing on better quality Participation MONTAGE Film Festival MONTAGE Film Festival will be organised to cater to the campus community Attempts will be made to invite directors and cinematographers from outside for better insight into the art of movie making The website for MONTAGE displaying information of the movie and guests will be released 10 days prior to the event for the ease of campus community Competitions and Professional Workshops will be organised as a part of MONTAGE Clubs and Hobby Groups Animation Hobby Group The Vision of the club is to promote a more active culture of Animation in the campus and serve to the Animation Learning requirements of the Campus community. Workshops and Meet ups A Professional Summer Workshop on animation will be organised this year and re-nominations will be invited for hobby group leaders and further plans to be executed thereafter Fresher Workshop series will be organised after the Gymkhana week to promote more active participation in the hobby group Regular meet ups to be organised on Stop-Motion, 2-D modelling and 3-D modelling Spectrum Workshop series will target the fresher s batch for better participation in spectrum 3

Projects Continuing on the trends of past years, Game modelling projects will be actively promoted throughout the year on Source Film Maker A short Animation Project will be initiated in summers as a part of the Workshop Anime Society The Vision of the club is to promote a healthy and participative culture of Manga and Anime and provide a common platform for all the anime lovers to participate New initiatives Karaoke (event) This event is highly ambitious involving huge participation and fun. The aim being able to synchronize with anime songs.it doesn t matter if you can sing well or not. Shogi (workshops and competitions) Japanese chess is a different version of chess which has the tendency of becoming highly popular in the campus due to its interesting rules and strategies. Current discussion and prediction/anime blog New episodes come out every week, some are almost eye popping and fill us with great excitement. To discuss about these topics and predict the storyline further we shall have frequent meetings Cards/character file (summer project) A character file shall be made of our favourite characters and events following them. I plan to develop a card game in summers which can be the summer project of our club Campus manga (summer project) We will be making our own Campus Manga as a summer project. It will include Character Designing, Plot writing and Artwork done by campus students themselves. Cosplay Competition A Cosplay Competition will be organised as a part of spectrum. Alongside these, there will be regular Anime Screenings and Anime discussion sessions organised at regular intervals to encourage active participation in the society. 4

Design Club The Vision of the Design Club is to promote a culture of Design in the campus and provide the student community a platform where they can learn the art of Designing. Workshops and Sessions A summer Workshop will be organised to promote a newer culture of Design in the Campus Workshops and sessions targeted at better and innovative design at regular intervals will be organised Workshops targeted at design of PPTs and Posters will be organised for students and faculty members Initiatives What I have observed in the past few years is that Design is major issue not only for Gymkhana but for the institute as a whole which the Gymkhana is a part of, Hence I plan that design club to promote the culture of design will take up more of the institute design work and work proactively towards betterment of the institute. Film Club The Vision of The Club is to promote a culture of Active film-making and providing Workshops and sessions A 10-15 Day Summer Workshop will be conducted in May-June, which will cover different realms of film making like- screenplay and script writing, video editing, compositions, DSLR handling and basic knowledge about different film making equipment A workshop will be conducted for Fresher s (Y16) to introduce them to club activities, in weekend after Takneek Regular Meet ups will be organised to ensure active participation throughout the year Pre-Spectrum workshop will be conducted prior to the festival of spectrum Video Productions Batch Video Y12 Batch for the outgoing batch A short story based movie will be made in summers in association with Hindi Sahitya Sabha. Orientation Video will be made by club secretaries which will be a learning experience for them. Short and creative videos will be made for occasions like Teachers Day, Independence Day etc. Prank videos will be made during Antaragni, Techkriti etc. A Documentary series will be made in second semester. In this series we will visit industries both small and large scale nearby the campus and analyse what effect they do have on the environment and the condition of the workers working in them and try to analyse if we can do anything to change them. 5

Photography Club The Vision of the Club is to promote an active culture of photography in the campus by providing a platform where people can gather and learn. Major Initiatives Online Photography Exhibitions will be organised Social Campaigns will be launched to increase accessibility of club work Summer Workshop Like every year, Photography Club plans to organize the Summer Workshop from May 20 June 10(tentative). The workshop will comprise of: Lectures Regular lectures on photography will be organized starting from beginner s level. Lectures focusing on specific genre like Street, Wild-life, and Travel. Lectures on basic and advanced post processing will also be held. Photo-walks Number of photo-walks will be increased. We plan to have following photo-walks during the workshop: o Photo-walk to Bithoor o Photo-walk to Nankari o Photo-Walk to Kanpur zoo o Photo-walk in Lucknow Professional Workshop A professional workshop either on Street Photography or Travel Photography will be organized Studio Sessions We plan to organize 2-3 studio sessions where attendees will be taught basics about studio setup, Product Photography and Studio Portraits Exhibitions Exhibition is platform through which we showcase clubs work to outside as well as inside community. Photography Club plans to hold the following exhibition: Freshers Exhibition: To be held during Orientation Programme. Major aim of this exhibition is to give a fair exposure to the incoming batch about our club 6

Antaragni Exhibition: This year we plan to organize two exhibitions during Antaragni, one a regular exhibition and other one a look back exhibition. Techkriti Exhibition: This exhibition will majorly focus on technical aspects of photography like studio photography, multiple exposure, etc. Coverage Photography club plans to do official coverage for the following Gymkhana events: Fresher s Night Antaragni Inter-IIT Sports Meet Techkriti This year major focus will be on quality of images and timely release of coverage. Hall Level Workshops and Hands-on session Hall level workshops will be organized in all the UG as well as PG halls in the month of august followed by hands on session to teach basic DSLR handling to students. Hall Level Workshops will mainly focus on technical aspects of Photography. Open House Sessions Institute level open house sessions and photo discussion sessions will be held regularly. The major aim of these sessions will be to expose people to classical and current work of photographers across the world. Basic photography concepts will also be discussed. Some open houses will be held on specific topics like: Travel Photography Astro Photography Studio Photography Street Photography Post Processing 7

Spectrum Introductory lecture series and hands on session along with introductory lecture on Studio photography will be organized before Spectrum. Other Competitions Apart from spectrum Photography Club plans to organize following competitions: Fresher s Photography Competition: It will be held before the orientation session for the incoming batch students. The winners of the competition will also be awarded prizes. Fortnight Photography Competition: We plan to organize the fortnight photography competition throughout the semester. The major aim of this event will be create constant involvement in photography throughout the year. Radio 90.4 The vision of the club is to promote an active participation and culture of Radio Jockeying and providing the platform to do the same to the campus community. Initiatives Entries will be invited from Campus Community to be showcased on the channel promoting participation Radio Shows will be taken Online via Soundcloud etc. to renovate the current radio jockeying culture Apart from these regular shows, audio interviews will be aired online providing the club a platform to showcase their work. Students Film Society The vision of the club is to promote a healthy culture of Movie watching in the campus by promoting various genres of Movies. New Initiatives The Online Polling system will be active throughout the year for most of the movie screenings An Online Forum to be floated for better ad Healthy Discussions on the website Mini Film Festivals will be organised throughout the year Movie Marathons will be organised on weekends and movie series will be screened on popular demand Apart from these Initiatives, Regular movie screenings and film galas will be organised. 8

Vox Populi Vox Populi, the campus journalism body, after having a revamp in 2014 and practically starting from scratch has come a long way and has successfully established itself as a campus media body which is trusted and looked up to. With strong 40 member core-group comprising writers, correspondents, video jockeys, video editors, photographics, cartoon creators and designers, vox is poised. With an exuberant team and a buoyant vision, Vox looks at the coming term as one full of opportunities. Initiatives Campus Journalist: Giving a platform to campus community to voice opinions about themes that strike a chord with them. A video series gauging the nerve of campus junta on topics that affect them the most. Vox s competitions in festivals: Introducing Journalistic competitions in Antaragni. Faculty Bulla sessions: This would aim at improving the faculty- student interaction and helping students learn from both academic and non-academic experiences of faculty members.
