Safety Rules WARNING Read all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. The term electrical device,as used in the following, refers to mains operated electrical devices (corded) and to battery operated (cordless) electrical devices. Save these instructions. 1) Work area a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark work areas invite accidents. b) Do not operate the unit on easily inflammable surfaces (e. g. paper, textiles, etc.) Or in inflammable environments. Fire hazard due to occurring heat build-up. 2) Electrical Safety a) The plugs of electrical devices must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) electrical devices. DVD menu setup Press the SETUP button on the remote control, the SETUP MENU (main) will be displayed. After accessing the setup menu, press the direction buttons for up and down movement to select an item desired, then press the ENTER button to confirm.press LEFT direction button return to the menu of upper level. In the SETUP MENU, you may choose any of the following options as you like. To exit the setup, press the SETUP button again. LANGUAGE SETUP Select Language in the setup menu, and display the Language submenu: Language Video Audio Rating OSD Language Subtitle MP4 subtitle Audio DVD-menu : English : English : Western European : English : English Misc 1.1 OSD Language Use this item to select the language of the setup menu and screen display. 1.2 Subtitle This option provides the preset subtitle language. Follow the operating instructions stated in "DVD-MENU SETUP" in combination with the desired option. 1.3 MP4 subtitle MP4 Subtitle setting is used for choosing the language domain, (only for MP4). When you select one language domain (alphabet), when playback a MP4 with external subtitle, the subtitle display will shown this language alphabet. if you find the displaying subtitle words are incorrect, please ensure the external subtitle language and then select the correct language. 1.4 Audio Follow the operating instructions stated in "DVD-MENU SETUP" in combination with the desired option. This option provides the built-in disc dubbing language options. 1.5 DVD Menu This option provides the film's menu language options. Follow the operating instructions stated in "DVD-MENU SETUP" in combination with the desired option. 10

1 9 16 VIDEO SETUP Select Video in the setup menu, and display the Video submenu: Language Video Audio Rating Misc Aspect Ratio View Mode TV System Video out Brightness Smart Picture HD Resolution : 4:3PS : Auto Fit : PAL : S-VIDEO : Standard : Auto 2.1 Aspect Ratio 4:3 : Choosing this setting if your DVD player is connected to a normal ratio TV. You can fill the movie to the entire screen of your TV. This might mean that parts of the picture (the left and right edges) won t be seen. 16:9 : Choose this setting if your DVD player is connected to a wide screen TV. If you choose this setting and you don t have a wide screen TV, the images on the screen may appear distorted due to vertical compression. Notes: The image display ratio is related to the recorded disc format. Some disc can not display images in the aspect ratio you choose. If you play a disc recorded in 4:3 format on a wide screen TV, black bars will appear on the left and right side of the screen. You must adjust the screen setting depending on the type of the television you have. 2.2 View Mode With this option you can select the different video vision mode on the screen. 2.3 TV System This product supports output of various system, including NTSC, PAL, Auto. If your TV set has only NTSC or PAL system, the screen will blink and become colorless when a wrong system is selected. In this case, press the N/P button on the Remote Control to switch the TV TYPE.. Note: For more information of output format, refer to the instructions or your TV set. 2.4 Video Output Selecting the Video Output setting to switch between different video outputs S-VIDEO:Video output is S-VIDEO. You must use a special S-VIDEO cabel and only this can be connected. YUV: Video output is YUV. Connect toyour TV with a 3 way RCA lead RGB: Set the video output to SCART output. If you select SCART connection, you should set up the play mode as RGB state, then it will output normally. P-Scan: Set the video output to progressive component output HDMI: Set the video output to high definition output 2.5 Brightness Press the SETUP button then press the DOWN direction button to select to Brightness mode, press the LEFT and the RIGHT direction button to adjust the player video output brightness. 2.6 HD(HDMI) Resolution Used to set the resolution of HDMI image output. In this option, you can select different HDMI image resolution. In the factory setup is on AUTO. Note: If TV screen has no output after selecting HD Resolution, on STOP MODE you can press VIDEO button to select to HDMI mode on TV screen, it will output normally. 11

On = Enable the Bass Management. Off = Disable the Bass Management. Press setup button to select the audio mode, press the direction button right to the bass management then press the down direction button to switch the bass management to on. To enjoy the 5.1ch. 3.2 Front Speaker To adjust the front speakers output to work in harmony with the audio equipment (e.g. Amplifier) connected to the player. You can select the speaker output in Large on Small, when Bass Management is On, the bass management is off, the front speaker output is on large mode only. 3.3 Center Speaker This function is operation for the bass management on only. Select the Large or Small output when the bass management is on. Select None to off the center speaker. 3.4 Surround Speaker This function is operation for the bass management On only. Select the Large or Small output when the bass management is on. Select None to off the Surround speaker. 3.5 Subwoofer This function is operation for the bass management on only. on the bass management On mode, select to Present to enjoy bass sound.select None to off the bass. 3.6 Center spkr Delay Selecting the Center Delay setting allows the user to enable/disable the center output delay. 3.7 Surr spkr Delay Selecting the Surr. Delay setting allows the user to enable/disable the Surround output delay. 3.8 Digital output Selecting the Digital Output setting allows the user to adjust the audio output on S/PDIF ports to work in harmony with the audio equipment (e.g. receiver, speakers) connected to the player. Off Digital audio output is disabled. PCM Select this option when you are going to use stereo signals (2 channels). You should combine this option with the option "Lower sampling rate," which we explain further on RAW If you select this option the player will use the DVD's original audio track. Use this option when you want to use the Dolby Digital AC3 signals through the optical or coaxial audio output. 3.9 Pro logic Off: Pro Logic decoding is off. Two-channel sources are output only on the left and right channels. On : Enable Pro Logic decoding 12

RATING SETUP In the Main Menu select Rating and the screen shows: To change the password, select Set Password. The factory default is 0000.Then press Set Password again to input new password. Language Video Parental control Set Password : 7.NC-17 Audio Rating Misc 4.1 Rating Selecting a Rating allows the user to set the parental control feature of the player. Select Parental Control and Press ENTER. Then enter the password and press ENTER. Press ENTER again to select the options then confirm by pressing ENTER. Kid Safe--Only 1 title with a parental control setting is allowed to play. G--Only 2 titles with a parental control setting or less are allowed to play. PG--Only 3 titles with a parental control setting or less are allowed to play. PG-13--Only 4 titles with a parental control setting or less are allowed to play. PG-R--Only 5 titles with a parental control setting or less are allowed to play. R--Only 6 or less titles with a parental control setting are allowed to play. NC-17--Only 7 or less titles with a parental control setting are allowed to play. Adult--Allow any title to play (factory default).
