Outage Emergency Economic Must-Run (self-commit) Not Participating Resource is not available for commitment because the resource is on a planned or forced outage Resource is available for commitment in emergency situations only Resource is available for commitment by MISO Resource as committed per MP request and may be available for dispatch by MISO Resource will not participate in the E&OR Markets but is otherwise available 5

Two dispatch options are valid for Energy. Economic Respond according to economics Self-Schedule Price-taker up to the Self- Scheduled output level 6

Reserve Zones are a specific group of Resource, Load and Interface CPNodes where a minimum Operating Reserve requirement is established through Reserve Zone Configuration Studies. There are 7 reserve zones in the MISO footprint (2 new ones for the South Region). New reserve zone definitions for the December model have been updated, effective 12/19/2013. Why is my default Commit Status set to Outage? MISO modeling sets the Default commit status to Outage for each new resource. Be sure to provide an accurate commit status to the Default Status, as well as the Hourly Status available as part of the Resource Schedule Offer. I m unable to access MCS. MCS has been made available to all 12/19 Market Participants as of Thursday morning, 12/13/2013. 7

The NOC can also be contacted if a customer has an urgent, non-system/it question that needs to be addressed, outside of normal business hours. 1 All day, every day (24/7/365) noc@misoenergy.org 1-866-296-6476 Option 2 Client Any and all issues can be routed through Client. However, this group typically focuses on more complex issues. Market Participants can make a determination on the criticality and time sensitivity of the issue and determine when determining whether to reach-out directly to Customer Advisors 8am 5pm EDT, By appointment Each MP is assigned a Customer Advisor Functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) Functional Subject Matter Experts are technical experts in MISO that can assist with various different questions. This group has specific knowledge of the tariff and BPMs, and assists MPs through the MISO Stakeholder Process (including follow-up with Client on specific questions.) They are available to meet by appointment 1-on- 1.
