I have been playing since I am five years old, pretty much seen all DVDs and books out there, and I rate this as one of the top, without a doubt. There are many people who own drum kits; there are far fewer people who are musicians who play the drums. One ideally and in my opinion wants to express oneself, not play with speed and flash and no understanding of the rudimentary nature of drums which come only from learning the rudiments deeply. I am in process of developing my own DVD drum instructional series based on the rudiments, that also incorporates other elements, to be revealed soon, however, this book has helped me move along to be able to do such, which I will use to help others now.
