On this album Du Blonde turns her hand at guttural grunge and rawk n roll, quite probably influenced by her new found home of Los Angeles. These genres are best demonstrates on If You re Legal and Hard to Please ferocious, in-your-face tracks that don t do anything new, but do what they do very well. Houghton has worked very hard to instil a sense of seminal rock into this full length, catalysed by her newfound direct mentality. The sparse intro to Chips to Go even draws comparison to Holy Bible era Manic Street Preachers, while lead single Black Flag pegs Du Blonde as a crunchy, offkilter grunge goddess in the making.
