Making the citizens of India an integral part of the IFFI journey and bringing the IFFI experience to every household is a major step taken by the Public Broadcaster, Prasar Bharati. This puts participation and showcasing at IFFI on a wider canvas with the entire nation as audience going beyond the critical appreciation of the elite few. The focus on creative entrepreneurship at IFFI marks a step towards developing the creative economy in India and realising the potential for India to emerge as the creative hub for the free world. India is uniquely positioned to chart the future course of the global creative economy given its demographic strength, democratic institutions and its rich legacy of culture and tradition rooted in creative expression over the centuries.
