www.cebit-bcs.com International Trade Fair and Conference for Satellite Communication, Broadcasting and TV-Content The leading fair of its sector in the Eurasian Region DO NOT MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY!! www.cebit-bcs.com We invite you to profit from the Eurasian region s most dynamic and vibrant business platform Broadcast, Cable & Satellite eurasia 2005 a CeBIT event. UNLIMITED OPPORTUNITIES The demand of the Turkish broadcast, cable & satellite industry is covered to a large part by imports. Local manufacturers can not yet answer the needs of the industry. Especially latest state-of the-art products and services of digital technology have to be purchased from abroad. Distribution is mainly undertaken by the local representative agencies or distributors of leading international companies. The Turkish market thus offers a huge unmet potential for international manufacturers. PERFECT TIMING The time is right to conduct business and seek partnerships in Turkey. The country is energized by a series of positive economic developments. Turkey s ongoing commitment to integration with the world economy facilitates a stable base for foreign investment. Turkey has recently been given the green light for commencing accession talks targeting full membership in the European Union, which will further accelerate its economic growth. At the same time Turkey has strong trade relationships with countries throughout the Near and Middle East and the Eurasian region. GENERAL OUTLOOK ON TURKISH MARKET

With a current population of more than 72 million, Turkey is expected to become the most populous country in Europe in the next decades (the forecast for 2025 is a total population of 84 million). The latest statistics show that the urban population constitutes around 67% of the country s total inhabitants. The fact that it is the most industrially developed country in the Eurasian region and the existence of young customers who demand quality products are the two most outstanding factors in the expected increase of Turkey s foreign trade in the following years. Turkey plays a very important role in Eurasia as a bridge for Western countries exporting to the region. HIGHLIGHTS OF TURKEY & THE INDUSTRY 299.475 billion US$ Turkish Gross National Product (GNP) in 2004 9.9% economic growth rate (GNP in real terms) in 2004 and an expected 5 6 % for 2005 23% increase of GNI per capita in 2004 32.8% increase in exports in 2004 compared to 2003 40.1% increase in imports compared to 2004 The Turkish Information and Communication market (ICT) accounts for approximately 6.6% of the GNI. The Turkish Telecommunication sector accounts for 75% of the ICT market, market driver The Turkish ICT market is expected to grow by 20% in 2005 Dr. İlhami AYGUN, President of TUYAD Approximately 5% of the GNP comes from the Telecommunications sector Turkey ranks second worldwide in the number of TV and radio stations More than 19 million fixed-line telephone subscribers More than 171 Internet Service Providers in December 2004 3 own space satellites under Turkish operation 3 GSM operators (1 with 900 MHz, 2 with 1800 MHz) More than 32 million GSM subscribers Over 1 million cable-tv subscribers "Turkey is one of the leading countries using satellite communications in the Eurasian region. It has 4 satellites in the orbit, more than 75 digital free-to-air satellite TV channels, more than 100 digital satellite radio channels, one Digital Platform pay-tv bouquet with 250 TV channel capacity and one million subscribers. In 2005, Turkey will start new communication satellite projects to replace its first generation satellites and to back up Turksat-2A satellite. Broadcast,Cable & Satellite eurasia 2005 will not only welcome the Satellite Ground Systems manufacturers like satellite receivers, dishes, electronics etc., but the giants of world satellite manufacturer companies."

Moshe Drory, GILAT Satcom, Israel Our purpose of participating in Broadcast, Cable & Satellite a CeBIT event - was to learn about the market, find local partners, local resellers and start Gilat Satcom activity in Turkey and other countries around. And indeed during the exhibition we met several potential companies that are interested in becoming our partners and local agents. The exhibition was organized to our full satisfaction in a very good manner, and contributed dearly to our commencing business in Turkey. We would like to thank the organizers for their good work and their very friendly and warm attention. Sinan Özkan, Ay-Yıldız A.Ş Goldmaster We have participated in Broadcast, Cable & Satellite for the eighth time. Comparing with previous years we can easily say this year s fair was magnificent. The variety of exhibitors and the interest of the visitors in the booths were all signs of attention shown to the fair by the industry. Excessive increase in visitor numbers, high interest of our distributors and consumers in Anatolia were the important reasons of the show s evaluation as very successful. The high number of international exhibitors & visitors also indicates the international attention to the event. 2005 Exhibition program Satellite Communication Equipment Satellite Communication Services Communication Service Providers Radio Communication Systems Broadcast and Broadband Communication Systems Video, Audio & Light Cables TV Content SPECIAL DISPLAYS TV PROGRAM & FILM TRADING PLATFORM In its 4 th year, the event enables TV program producers to present their documentaries and introductory movies, quiz shows, national series, news reports, etc. to TV channels in Turkey, the Near Middle East, and Eurasia. The TV Program & Film Trading Platform is conceived as the film industry's special event with a precisely defined range of exhibits and a clear-cut target group of Business experts in Turkey and Eurasia. The platform is a forum for the presentation of innovative products and developments; it is an indispensable meeting point and communication pool for everyone involved in the production of films and TV programs. INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE PROGRAM The international conference program provides, which holds for 3 days parallel to the show, an excellent dialogue platform for visitors and exhibitors to exchange information with global players and experts of the industry. In 2004, the presentations and panel discussions, held by 38 speakers from 8 countries were very well attended and provided an excellent dialogue platform. Between 24 27 November 2005, experts will come together again in several conferences and panels under the sessions of Satellite Communication, Broadcasting, Telecommunications, E-learning and Co-productions in Eurasia. Use your opportunity to get important facts and projections about your sector firsthand. I very much enjoyed the conference and the exhibition this year. I was so glad to see that the relentless efforts started bearing fruit and to assess the quantum step in quality between the 2003 event and this one. I hope that the BCS Conference and Exhibition will continue to develop and that the 2005 issue and each subsequent ones will be more successful than those preceding them. Aleksandar Todorovic, Kompani Belgrad
