AUSTRALIAN/NEW ZEALAND STANDARD 1 CASSETTES FOR MEDICAL X-RAY DIAGNOSIS Radiographic cassettes and mammographic cassettes 1 Scope This International Standard deals with the manufacture of RADIOGRAPHIC CASSETTES and mammographic cassettes intended to be used with RADIOGRAPHIC SCREENS in medical practice. This standard does not apply to special cassettes (such as cassettes with built-in ANTI-SCATTER GRIDS, cassettes for simultaneous TOMOGRAPHY). It is provided to ensure that X-RAY EQUIPMENT can be operated with RADIOGRAPHIC CASSETTES of different MANUFACTURERS. 2 Normative references The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this International Standard. At the time of publication, the editions indicated were valid. All normative documents are subject to revision, and parties to agreements based on this International Standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative documents indicated below.
