Give weekly lessons and coachings to twenty advanced students in the department who are preparing for recitals, auditions, and other performances. Vocal coach and oversee collaborative pianists in the opera scenes program in the fall semester, which meets four times weekly and culminates in a performance at the end of the semester. Vocal coach the spring opera, which is a staged performance. Teach Class Accompanying in the spring, which focuses on the rudimentary collaborative skills of playing instrumental sonatas and concertos, vocal art song, and opera repertoire. In 2016-17, accompanied and rehearsed with the Nordic Choir, the College s premier touring vocal ensemble. Principal work included Bach s B minor Mass. Coordinate the staffing of vocal seminar classes, which are assisted by student accompanists. Maintain a master list of student accompanists and oversee policies and procedures for collaborative work in the department. Serve as the collaborative artist for faculty showcases and recitals, guest artist recitals, select student recitals, the annual Brudos Prize in Vocal Performance Winner s Recital, Brudos Prize Auditions, the Hemp Prize in Orchestral Performance Winner s Recital, Christmas at Luther, choral events, Dorian festivals, and other special events by the college on an as-needed basis. Chair the committee which annually presents the Lucille Stansberry Rosholt Distinction in Collaborative Keyboard Performance Award. Duties include creating and screening the application, assembling the adjudication committee (including a judge from outside of Luther College), and coordinating the finalists recital. In 2016-2017, contributed additionally to the livelihood of the Music Department by accompanying ten concerto competition entrants (of whom four were named finalists), fourteen student recitals, seven students audition recordings, and over thirty juries. Coordinated with the Catholic Student Association to provide music at select masses on campus and at St. Benedict s in Decorah.

UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME, NOTRE DAME, INDIANA Shaneyfelt 2 DEPARTMENT OF MUSIC Adjunct Piano Faculty August 2015 May 2016 Teach weekly private piano lessons to masters students in the sacred music program and undergraduate music minors and non-majors, with occasional focus on collaborative repertoire. Teach group piano class to non-music majors. As needed, guest coach chamber music ensembles and vocalists preparing for juries and recital performances. Accompanied recitals, Tuesday morning concerts, juries, concerto competitions and auditions for performance level undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty members (Brahms Liebeslieder Walzer). Instructor: Taught group piano to undergraduate music majors in preparation for piano proficiency exams. In addition, provided private instruction for piano minors and covered undergraduate performance major lessons in primary instructor s absence. TEACHING & PERFORMANCE EXPERIENCE INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL OF THE ADRIATIC, DUINO, ITALY Faculty Artist summer 2017 Coach vocalists twice a week, coach chamber ensembles three times a week in a four-week festival Serve as accompanist for student vocalists in performances of arias, art song, and opera scenes. Perform on faculty recitals. BELVOIR TERRACE, LENOX, MASSACHUSETTS Instructor & Music Director summers, 2014-2017 Music Director: Teach pitches and rhythms to campers, and give musical coaching in preparation for auditions and eventual performance of three shows from the musical theatre repertoire. Provide accompaniment and input for auditions. Coordinate and organize schedule over the fiveweek rehearsal period, including rehearsals for pit musicians (camp musicians and contracted outside musicians). In summer 2014 & 2015, Song Presentation: Co-taught a solo vocal performance class focusing on repertoire from musical theatre and American song, chose repertoire appropriate for campers ages and vocal needs and limitations. Prepared campers for a culminating recital at the end of the six-week camp.
