olicies & ayment for Use of International House Facilities Reservations & ayments To complete your reservation a signed contract must be received and full payment of the rental estimate must be made within three days of receipt of the contract. Fees include set up times and exclusive use of the designated areas in the building for the time specified. Checks made payable to International House as well as Visa & MasterCard are accepted. Only UC Berkeley Campus departments may use urchase Orders for room rental payments. Any additional charges incurred during an event (catering or tech enhancements, etc.) are due upon event conclusion. Cancellations otice of cancellation must be made in writing. A 35% fee applies to cancellations provided 30 or more days from scheduled date. Full payment must be provided on event rental cancellations made 29 days or less prior to scheduled date. ignage International House has digital and printed signs that reflect our daily event schedules to public visitors. lease review signage plans in advance of your event if you wish to arrange additional signage or customize the language used in Internatioanl House postings. In order to protect the historic building we do not allow signs to be taped or tacked to the doors or walls. (ome exceptions may be made for painter s tape only.) Decorative lements for vents Confetti and glitter are not permitted and use of helium balloons is subject to restrictions. Clients are encouraged to discuss special event decorative concepts with our staff. Alcohol International House maintains an alcohol license that restricts our facility to beer and wine obtained through the International House Catering Department. Unauthorized use of beer, wine, or other liquor at International House entitles staff to terminate an event immediately. Alcohol is not permitted at non-resident, student sponsored events. arking & ublic Transit International House is committed to sustainable practices for a healthier environment and encourages use of public transit when possible. In addition, ample bicycle racks are available for use outside our main entrance. pecial vent arking I-House does not have a public parking lot onsite, although limited spaces in our small staff parking area can sometimes be coordinated in advance for weekend and evening events after 6 pm. For large scale evening & weekend events, valet arrengements are coordinated with UC Berkeley s parking services and utilize nearby campus lots (Boalt, Underhill), with high parking capacity. Large meetings and conferences held at I-House during traditional work hours require pre-purchase of public visitor parking permits and/ or spaces held in advance by reservation from campus.
