RETURN TO FACTORY WARRANTY POLICY General Energy Connections products are covered by a one (1) year Return to Factory Warranty. The Warranty covers failure of any unit due to workmanship or component failure, provided the product has not been misused, incorrectly installed, or subjected to environmental conditions that exceed the product's specification. Products must be installed and serviced by electricians certified by COM/Energy Technologies. Obtaining a Return Materials Authorization To return a unit, a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) must be obtained by calling (888) 583-3335 prior to returning a faulty unit. Please provide the operator with the following information from the faulty product: Model Number Serial Number, as located on the product name plate Supplier, if other than COM/Energy Technologies Please also provide any additional information, if available, regarding date of purchase or installation that may expedite replacement of the faulty unit. Replacements Units COM/Energy Technologies will ship a replacement unit on the next business day after the RMA is issued. Shipment will be via overnight express when available. To reduce the downtime, COM/Energy Technologies will ship you a replacement unit based on the diagnosis, as reported through the RMA process, and prior to receipt of the faulty unit. This will minimize problems arising from the disconnection of the faulty unit from the network. Please remember that the products are connected to potentially lethal voltages and, as a result, licensed electricians must perform removal and replacement operations. At its discretion, COM/Energy Technologies will ship a like product having functionality that, in COM/Energy Technologies sole opinion and discretion, is equal to or exceeds that of the faulty product to be replaced. The replacement product may be a new or reconditioned unit. The replacement product is warranted to be free from defect for a period of one (1) year from the date of the originally installed unit. 3 BR-100-MOT, BRP-100-MOT Installation Guide
Fault Diagnosis It is your responsibility to determine if a unit is actually faulty in the network to which it is connected. Therefore, it is important that you secure the services of a trained Energy Connections' service technician or licensed repair service agency to test, diagnose, and replace the unit. Any unit returned to the factory that is not faulty and is not diagnosed as faulty by an Energy Connections' trained service technician or licensed repair service agency will be charged to you at full list price, regardless of whether it is a new unit or reconditioned. (Services of an Energy Connections' trained service agent are free of charge for 90 days from the date of installation.) Packing and Labeling Returned units must be packed in the carton in which the replacement was shipped to you. The RMA documentation enclosed with the replacement unit describes how and where to ship the unit. The return shipping label, included in the documents, is to be placed over the original shipping label (i.e., the label used to address the unit to you). Obligation to Return Faulty Units You must return the faulty unit to the factory within ten (10) calendar days of obtaining an RMA. Units not returned within the ten (10) day period will be billed to you as a new unit. If there is an unforeseen delay in your ability to return a faulty unit, please call (888) 583-3335 to extend the RMA period and to prevent being billed for a new unit. 4 BR-100-MOT, BRP-100-MOT Installation Guide
