The phone rings and it startles her, but not enough to fully wake. The answering machine picks up, a male voice pauses in between sentences. MACHINE Stacy. You won t pick up. I just need two minutes. That s it, then you can decide what you want to do. If you haven t, already. A beep to indicate the message is over. Stacy, lazily getting up, picks up her phone. She dials a number. TITLE: Sweetie, he s been calling all night. PHONE Do not pick up. Let him suffer. It s hard, but I m lasting, so.. FADE OUT EXT.PARK.DAY A park with children, a trail with joggers. Stacy jogs with headphones dangling from her ears. She slows down to catch her breath. Stacy bends down panting-

2. INT.LIVING ROOM.NIGHT FLASHBACK Stacy and her Boyfriend, snuggle on the couch. The light of the TV reflects there way. He texts on his phone and Stacy notices. Who s that? Ty shuts his phone off. Turns around and kisses Stacy. No one. I love you. Ty looks happy, mouths the word "yes" after reading the text. I love you to. I wanna take you somewhere special tomorrow. (SMILING) Where? My treat, my surprise. Ty kisses her on the forehead, she s full of smiles. Ty goes back to his phone, Stacy s concentrated on him. END FLASHBACK INT.BATHROOM.NIGHT The tap runs with water. Stacy, in a robe feels it s temperature. She turns off the tap and strips. Her foot dips into the water. She lies back, shuts her eyes.

3. INT.BATHROOM.NIGHT FLASHBACK Ty lies next to Stacy. Bubbles on top, and soft music behind them. (MINOR SARCASM) I feel uber gay, you re lucky I m doing this. You know this relaxes me. You know I love you? Then why do you complain? They kiss, romance is in the air. Thanks for today. His phone glows up and it starts to buzz. Ty and Stacy continue to kiss, she moves her eyes back to hear the noise, but Ty pulls her in closer. END FLASHBACK INT.ART ROOM.NIGHT Stacy paints. Soothing music in the background. Her cell phone rings and she jumps, causing a small error in her work. Shit. Stacy picks up. Ty, stop calling me. A tear falls from her eye, Ty speaks in to the phone. She bows her head, wipes her tears away. She looks up and sniffles.

4. INT.KITCHEN FLASHBACK Ty enters, Stacy cleans the dishes. Our bills, need to be paid. Yea - I m short this month. We ll last. Her arms surround him as they kiss again. I love you. Stacy smiles, angelic. Ty walks away checking a message on his phone. The message reads: the lucky bastard, hit me on the river. Ty s face fills with anger. END FLASHBACK INT.ART ROOM Stacy continues to cry on the phone. Sweetie, don t cry. I wanna be there- You pig. I ve been hurt before, and I can t stand to be hurt again. I ended this before I was crushed. You re way off Stacy, you need to listen- Stacy clicks off the phone.

5. INT.MOTEL ROOM Looks like a cheap room. Ty sits on the bed, phone in hand. He looks down at a small package on the dresser beside his bed. His eyes water. The doorbell rings. Shit, I gotta go. Someone s at my door. LEAH If it s you know who, then- Stacy rushes and hangs up. (CONTINUED)

CONTINUED: 6. She quickly jogs to the door, then at the last steps, slows down. She looks nervous, and also confused. She opens the door slowly, revealing a Postman with the small package. Stacy s now relaxed. Hi? POSTMAN Special Delivery. Sign here please. Stacy grabs the paper to sign. I didn t order anything.. POSTMAN Than it s your lucky day. The postman walks off. Stacy shuts the door and slowly walks to the living room. She tears at the package to reveal a note, and a cheap plastic ring inside of a plastic container, one that you d buy out of the 25 cent machines. She looks at it funny, then opens the note. It s all I could afford. Ollie went high in the gamble, but lost most of it, and he had to keep the portion. That s where my life went, that s where our bills went, that s where our love went, down the drain. Stacy s eyes are big, also tearing as she reads.
