Must move and dance comfortably in 3 or 4 inch heels Must be comfortable wearing a full headdress and very revealing (yet tasteful) gowns / costumes Must provide their own appropriate undergarments, hose/tights and shoes as requested SPC reserves the right to, politely, exclude any woman who does not meet these standards.and as fabulous as many drag queens would be, all showgirls need to be women. It is not a marketing or sponsorship banner. 2-24 to 28 matching stools are needed (Black or Wood tone) A three person rhythm section - wrapped around brass section 1) synthesizer, 2) solo rhythm bass (acoustic bass & fender), 3) guitar (the synthesizer is used for all keyboard sounds) Roundtrip shipment of music, costumes, minimal sound gear, and prop boxes. SPC staff will supply packing labels, with values of contents. The cost of the shipment, and insurance for these packages, is the responsibility of the local orchestra. Two wardrobe dressers are needed for: 5 hours steaming and ironing prep (depending on the number of local showgirls added the prep time may increase) each performance starting 1 1/2 hours prior to curtain At least one of the two wardrobe dressers must be a stitcher and capable of wig styling. The stairs do not need railings, unless required by your local laws. 2 mic stands for wireless handheld OPTIONAL: A Vegas sign is available for a $500.00 rental fee, along with shipping costs. (If interested, please contact Brandy Rodgers as soon as possible to discuss shipping options.) Five electrical circuits are needed for the sign. It takes less than 45 minutes to hang the sign in most halls, and it looks fabulous. (Note: the sign is 16 w x 11 h and weighs 250 lbs) STAGE DÉCOR OPTIONS: Orchestra may add, at Orchestra s expense, mylar curtains, glitzy drapes, or other stage dressings to add to the Vegas Lounge atmosphere. Lobby Options: The SPC can provide up to 8 additional costumes for LOBBY SHOWGIRLS. (The women need to fit the size criteria listed above, but do not need dance training) SPC also has one costume for a SHOWBOY, which is a nice balance and fun. Requirements: o height 5' 11-6' - 3" o waist no bigger than 33" o weight no higher than 185lbs o should be absolutely ripped, with 6-pack abs, since the costume is shirtless. The ISO hired a local group to run casino tables, using play money and offering door prizes to patrons who won a designated amount of play money. A similar group should be available in your area. The audience raved about the entire evening s experience. Stage Layout: See the schematic for details especially concerning orchestra set up. 8 10 of down stage space is needed for the Vocalists. No special floor treatments (marley, etc) are needed. Cast Needs: Six dressing rooms plus 1 for the conductor are requested. Dressing rooms will be discussed (knowing that some halls do not have large facilities) with tech personnel. Final dressing room assignments will be determined on-site. A quick change booth will be needed on stage left and on stage right. Both will need a clothes rack, mirror, music stand for jewelry, running lights, and three chairs. An iron, ironing board, and steamer are needed at all venues. Two wardrobe people are needed to prep the show (iron & steaming) for a 5 hour call. The concert requires 2 wardrobe staff as run crew and the call is 1 1/2 hours prior to curtain. The prep time may need to increase, depending on the number of local Showgirls added. At least one of the two wardrobe dressers must be a stitcher and capable of wig styling. A minimum of twelve 1 liter bottles of water are needed for each rehearsal and performance. SPACE NEEDS AND STAGE LAYOUT Below is a rough sketch indicating the placement of mics, monitors, and stage arrangement. Placements will vary from hall to hall. The down stage playing space (from downstage edge of podium to lip of stage) space needs to be between 8 to 10 deep. Two matching 24-28 tall stools are needed (can be black or wood tone) A solo piano is needed upstage of the conductor This concert requires a big band set up - the four person rhythm section (synth, trap set, solo rhythm bass (acoustic bass & fender), and guitar) must be wrapped around the brass section. CD player for voiceovers located at sound console 1 hot spot monitor for the conductor to hear vocals at podium must have volume control 1 hot spot monitor at piano must have volume control 2 additional monitor mixes for - 2 sets of ear monitors (units shall be supplied by artist) Mic solo piano hi & lo mic There is no orchestra piano all keyboard sounds will come from the synthesizer. The sound from the synth must play through an amp located on stage. Also run it to sound console for moments that may need extra help getting out to the house.
