PROBLEM: Field does not have the parameter settings required for proper operation of the Mitsubishi Variable Frequency Drives. SOLUTION: Refer to the following pages that contain the parameter settings and the procedure to enter the parameter settings. The VFD parameters that need to be changed are highlighted in the Operational setting column. All other parameters remain at the factory setting. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Do not use these parameters settings for conveyor equipment with an Omron PLC. See Italia service bulletin 4-002 for the parameter settings for conveyor equipment with an Omron PLC.
Procedure for changing parameter settings with a Mitsubishi FR-S520. 1. Press the PU/EXT key. Observe the PU light on the display turn ON. 2. Press the MODE key to enter the parameter setting mode. Observe P 0 on the display. 3. Turn the setting dial until the desired parameter number appears on the display. Example: P 7 4. Once the parameter to be changed is on the display, press the SET key. This displays the current value set for that parameter. Example: 5.0 5. Turn the setting dial until the desired value appears on the display. Example: 10.0 6. Press the SET key to set the value. Observe 10.0 and P 7 flicker on the display indicating the parameter write is successful. By turning the setting dial, other parameters may be viewed. To change, proceed from step #5 as listed above. By pressing the SET key twice, it will automatically advance to the next parameter.
