6 Expression Pedals Device Expression Pedals SW to GT Reversile Piston sing Expression Some organists are faced ith divided expression pedals for the first time hen they play a Trillium Organ While these are sometimes called Volume Pedals, they do much more than simply make the sounds louder and softer Divided Expression Pedals open up the possiility of providing solo or accompaniment voices on either manual In pipe organs, some or all pipes are enclosed in oxes that have ooden shutters connected to the expression pedals in the console These shutters act to control the amount of sound that enters the room, ut also change the perceived tone color of the pipe sound, as the pipes egin to sound righter as the expression pedal is depressed and then melloer as the pedal is retired to its closed position The To Manual Rodgers Organs have Balanced Divided Expression, the left pedal expression pedal controlling the Great and Pedal Stops, and the right expression pedal the Sell Stops Balanced means that the pedals can e adusted and they ill stay here you put them, making to-footed playing on the Pedaloard possile Three Manual Rodgers Organs do not normally have expression enaled on the Great Pedal Divisions This makes it possile to perform music in hich the Great pipe sounds clear and open and the other manuals can e rought in and out in degrees using the expression pedals It can e very thrilling to hear the Great playing and then hear the Full Sell gradually enter,thickening and enriching the Great ith the Reed Chorus from the Sell Select the GREAT PEDAL Enclosed rocker ta to assign the Great and Pedal Divisions to the Choir (left) Expression Pedal When you ish to increase the level of a enclosed divisions at once center your foot on the space eteen the to expression pedals so you can control them oth at the same time Frog Music Press Terrace Vie Drive Knoxville, TN frogmusiccom
