Manuscript Guidelines Manuscripts shuld be submitted electrnically t http://mc.manuscriptcentral.cm/afs where authrs will be required t set up an nline accunt n the SageTrack system pwered by SchlarOne. Submissin f a manuscript implies a cmmitment by the authr t publish in the jurnal, if the manuscript is accepted; authrs must certify that the manuscript is nt currently under cnsideratin by any ther jurnal. Ordinarily, manuscripts shuld nt exceed 26 pages and 8,000 wrds, including tables, figures, and references. Manuscripts received which are significantly higher than the limit will be autmatically rejected. Manuscripts are subjected t blind peer review and thus it shuld be annymized. The authr s names and self-citatins shuld be remved r blacked ut. Any ther identificatin, including any references in the manuscript, the ntes, the title, and reference sectins shuld be remved frm the paper and listed n separate pages, e.g., title page. Manuscript Preparatin and Submissin Manuscripts shuld be prepared using the APA Style Guide (Sixth Editin). All pages must be typed, duble-spaces. The bdy f the manuscript must be in 12-pint Times Rman. Blck qutes shuld be single-spaced and indented. The margins shuld be 1 inch n all the fur sides. Please mit running head and any header/fter entries. Reference and endnte pages shuld be 10.5 pint fnt with 1.5 line spacing. Submissin Shuld Cntain Threes Files The manuscript shuld include three majr sectins (in this rder): Title Page with abstract, Main Bdy, and References. Manuscript features shuld appear in this rder: Title page Full article title Abstract (maximum 150 wrds) Authr(s) Bigraphy (n mre than 50 wrds) Each authr s cmplete name and institutinal affiliatin(s) Acknwledgments and credits Grant numbers and/r funding infrmatin Crrespnding authr (name, address, phne/fax, e-mail) Manuscript Pg 1 cntents: Title Abstract Text (shuld begin n new page) Tables (shuld begin n new page) Tables. Tables shuld be structured accrding t APA Guidelines. Each table must have a clear and cncise title. When apprpriate, use the title t explain an abbreviatin parenthetically. Eg. Cmparisn f Median Incme f Adpted Children (AC) v. Fster Children (FC).
Appendices Figures. (shuld begin n new page) Figures shuld be numbered cnsecutively in the rder in which they appear in the text and must include figure captins. Figures will appear in the published article in the rder in which they are numbered initially. The figure reslutin shuld be 300dpi at the time f submissin. References (shuld begin n new page) End Ntes (shuld begin n new page) Appendices which may be referenced in the manuscript, shuld appear in a separate dcument unless they are intended t be published with the article, if it is accepted. Otherwise, appendices shall be published nline as a supplement t the article. Appendices shuld be lettered t distinguish frm numbered tables and figures. Include a descriptive title fr each appendix (e.g., Appendix A. Variable Names and Definitins ). Headings shuld indicate the rganizatin f the cntent f the sectin. Generally, three heading levels are sufficient t rganize text; hwever, APA prvides fr five levels. They shuld be frmatted as fllws 1) Level 1 heading shuld be: Centered, Bldface, Upper & Lwercase, The text shuld then begin n the next line... 2) Level 2 heading shuld be: Flush Left, Bldface, Upper & Lwercase The text shuld begin n the next line 3) Level 3 heading shuld be: Indented, bldface, lwercase paragraph heading that ends with a perid. Citatins In Text Citatins Fr each text citatin there must be a crrespnding citatin in the reference list and fr each reference list citatin there must be a crrespnding text citatin. Each crrespnding citatin must have identical spelling and year. Each text citatin must include at least tw pieces f infrmatin, authr(s) and year f publicatin. End Ntes If explanatry endntes are required fr yur manuscript, please use Micrsft Wrd s Insert Ftnte feature under the Reference ribbn..
