When was the last time you laughed until tears came streaming down your face? When we were kids, playing a simple game of hide-and-seek could fill a whole room with laughter! As we get older, so does our number of responsibilities. Life can become a routine schedule of what we have to do, with little time left for what we want to do, leaving us tired, overly-serious, and unfulfilled. The time to de-stress and tap into your inner child needs to be just as high a priority as meeting your important deadlines or making sure you have enough vegetables on your plate. Smiling alone has a major affect on our bodies, inside and out! Our moods and attitudes play off of our facial expressions, commonly referred to as mirroring. If someone approaches you with a sour face, full of frustration and anger, you will most likely walk The reality of today: Wall Street Journal reported in 2016 that 50% of workers in the U.S. reported being dissatisfied with their jobs. An American Sociological Association study shows that job-related dissatisfaction experienced in your 20s & 30s can lead to overall health issues just 10 or 20 years down the line: mental + emotional health problems, sleep issues and complications from excessive worry. Employees who report being happy at work take 10 times fewer sick days than unhappy employees!
