Digital vs. Print Signage: What are the Benefits? Digital signage is sustainable. No trees are cut down; no water, inks or solvents are used; and when a message is no longer relevant, it doesn t go to a landfill it s just deleted. Consumers have been desensitized by traditional static signage, especially when a space has been inundated with messaging as is typical at a trade show. Digital signage draws attention and provides your audience with compelling, memorable content. Digital signage increases the amount of potential revenue, because you re able to display multiple messages at a single location. If the same spot contained traditional advertising, it could only be sold to a single advertiser. Content can run uniformly at multiple stations, get scheduled to run at certain times of day, or be separated to play at identified locations. All of this ensures that targeted messaging hits the right people at the right moment. Digital signage has the capability of being changed inexpensively, quickly and easily. Instead of waiting for a new sign to be produced and installed, our team can update content with just a few mouse clicks. Rotate special offers, feature exhibitors/products, or send out a last minute announcement; all of these abilities expand your revenue-generating opportunities. Digital signage costs less than traditional static signage. While the initial expense may seem greater, the combined cost of securing ad placements and printing is usually more expensive. Digital advertising has the flexibility to manipulate overall loop length and content, including the number of messages, individual file length, and the order in which they are placed. We are happy to share best practices and industry standards, and can work with you to establish advertising guidelines and sales scenarios for your show. Digital monitors can be connected to the web, allowing for news feeds or social media to be integrated into your display. All of these options establish incredible opportunities for attendees and exhibitors to interact in real time, and participate in your programming in brand new ways. The digital screens throughout the Congress Center and Sands Expo are all located in high-traffic areas. Whether your attendees are walking the hallways en route to meeting rooms, riding an escalator, heading to an exhibit hall or grabbing a coffee at Café Presse, everyone is sure to see these screens, regardless of where your program takes place. 2
