Note from the Director... godspell has always intrigued me. Since I first began directing musicals, I have wanted to create my own version of this show. For many years, I did not decide on a concept or overall design for the show; I only knew that when the time was right, the concept would present itself. Once Godspell was selected as AMT s first Fall production, I began to work through the ideas of how we would be able to best represent the underlying current of Tebelak and Scwartz s original work. In an attempt to bring the message to those most in need, we chose to represent a setting and design in more contemporary terms. The production is the result of countless hours of work by our students and volunteers. Special thanks to Amber Fawcett, Rachel Matthews, Haley Stinson, and Emily Couch. Please refer to the production staff page listed later in the program. the commitment and collective determination of the entire crew has been inspirational. It has been a pleasure to share this experience with everyone. Enjoy the Show... Arab Musical Theatre Steering Committee Susan O.
