It is widely used in DAS environments to monitor and analyze spectrum waveforms and create appropriate SNMP alarm notifications.

Installation Considerations The ispectrum has the flexibility to tap into the RF signal from many sources, ideally from a dedicated, properly attenuated UL or DL monitor port on either the DAS or on the POI, as on the SYM SPOI Models (SP4S-7021). The POIs present at this site are not ideal candidates to use for the signal tap due to the attenuated combined signal. The combined signal at the TX/RX 90 degree connector on the enb was also not ideal due to the strong DL signal that saturated the UL when amplified, but would be a good choice for a dedicated DL monitor port. The I/O port shown below was the best candidate that had the best UL signal as well as an unfiltered DL signal reflection which can be seen concurrently with the UL in ispectrum because the bandwidth is within a100 MHz range. A connection to the DAS is also an ideal choice, but this is sometimes challenging to get approval and ports from the neutral host provider and doesn t provide the flexibility of carrier owned ports Good choice Bad Choices

Interference Identification, Tracking, and Alarming The majority of the alarms are due to an interference Interference source is at Marker 1: 2130.16 MHz The narrow red block is a targeted alarm block tuned to monitor and record the interference spike This alarm will allow precise analysis of when the interference source begins and ends transmission This view is from the recorded local Replayer program in 3D view with marker added to show the exact center frequency

Side Band Encroachment Here is another view of the side-band Power Threshold that should be investigated further This view also shows Power Threshold levels in the carrier channels during the Event, which is to be expected The in-band Power Threshold can be adjusted to be less sensitive depending on Verizon s desired performance KPIs This snapshot is from the reporting feature that can be run during live spectrum monitoring or from recordings.
