Parking Cast and Crew The venue is located within the city centre and does not have access to any parking on site. Located around the venue a number of pay and display car parks that are a short distance walk from the theatre. All city parking can be found at: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1pbonatajxq5e_gzx9ndmptipw5w&hl=en Closets locations are: Broadgate Waterside North Rosemary Lane Flaxengate Production Vehicles We do hold two vehicle exemption certificates for the use of commercial vehicles only, for load in and load out purposes. Once unloaded the certificates can be displayed within the vehicle anywhere along Clasketgate for the duration of your visit. No vehicles can be left on the loading bay due to obstruction of traffic. Should you have more than 2 commercial vehicles for your production please contact us with plenty of notice and we can look into possible options for you. As a 3 rd certificate is not always possible depending on demand of other businesses in the area. Load In The loading bay is located on Swan Street, a one-way street accessed before reaching the venue. Please refer to map below. The loading bay is located within the stage right wing on the back wall.
2 Stage Stage dimensions as follows: Proscenium opening: 6.2m Height to underside of tabs: 4.8m Setting Line to Centre of back wall: 7.3m Setting line to SR back wall: 6.7m Setting line to SL back wall: 7.9m Floor to Grid 12.8m Stage rake: 1:24 (Playing space can be opened out past the pros arch.) Pit dimensions: L 6.2m x W 1.8m x D 1.2m Should you require more space within the pit we can accommodate extra space by removing 1 or 2 rows from the stalls. This would need to be notified to us as soon as possible to remove seats from sale. Hard masking and flown boarders are used for our black box configuration. We also have in stock a selection of gauzes and cloths please ask for details. Rostra s held in stock are wooden gated. Stock held as followed: 2x 8 x4 gated rostra at 1 high 2x 8 x4 gated rostra at 2 high 3x 8 x4 gated rostra at 1 6 high 2x 4 x4 gated rostra at 2 high 2x 4 x4 gated rostra at 1 6 high Our stage crossover is located under stage and is accessed U/S/L and U/S/R. Included below is a CAD drawing to scale 1:25 @ A1. This shows wing space as well as height restrictions around the stage. Located within the stage right wing is access to our scene dock, door height from wing to dock is 5.4m. Along with a large storage area for flightcases and scenery the dock contains our Laundry Room and LX cupboard.
3 Prompt Corner Located prompt side is our stage monitor feed, cue light panel. FOH and Back stage paging system. Front of house clearance is given via telephone at prompt desk. Comms Positions: Prompt Corner LX control box S/L & S/R Pit Followspots FOH Sound Flys Cue Light Positions: S/R U & D S/L U & D Flys Pit Laundry: Located within the scene dock are our non-coin operated washing machine and tumble dryer. This facility is free of charge. All detergents (non powder) will need to be provided by the company. Iron and ironing board are also available. Grand Piano The Theatre has a black Bechstein Baby Grand Piano. The piano is always available, however, there will be a hire charge and tuning fee included. Please contact us for our hire charges. Flys Above the stage are 35 hemp flown bars at 9.7m long. These are at an average of 180mm centres. All bars are rated to a load of 200kg and the grid is rated to a maximum load of 4 tons. The fly floor is located above the stage right wing and accessed via a D/S door also located within the S/R Wing. Access to the grid is located from fly floor level and can only be obtained via permission from the Technical or Stage Manager on the day. Access is also only possible when accompanied by an in-house technician. 1 winch bar is also available beneath the D/S bridge. This is normally used as the first inhouse LX bar and is 6.8m long. This has a rated load 150kg. House tabs and safety curtain are both operated from D/S/L at floor level. The safety curtain is lined with a cushioned bottom and is required to be clear of obstructions at all times.

This is where the in house analogue tie in is found. Space within the venue is at a premium and this is the only space available to fit most sound desks. We understand the position is not the most desirable location within the venue for sound but unfortunately this was slightly over looked by the architect back in 1893. There is 4 x 13amp sockets available in this position and a 50m multi would reach easily. When using the in house Digital snake and LS9 we have the capability to have 64 channels and 16 returns, 1 to 32 and all returns running through the cat 5 input in the rear of the desk. 33 to 64 (layer 2) would be analogue direct in to the back of the desk. All inputs and outputs are located on Stage Left by prompt desk.
5 The Venue has no rigging points so all touring PA s would require ground stacking. The location of the stacks would need to be free of the iron line and where possible sympathetic to sightlines. Lighting Dimmers There are 118 dimmers available in the venue distributed between FOH, Stage and fly floor. With an addition 2 for House Lights and Tab Warmers. Both House Lights and Tab Warmers can be operated via the desk or manually via prompt corner. The dimmers operate on D54 not DMX (converter is supplied) Dimmers are located as follows: 1 thru 22 FOH 23 thru 40 Fly Floor 41 thru 60 Stage 61 thru 118 Fly Floor Available Lighting equipment: ETC Ion 2 universe with 2 fader wings. General Lighting information: The LX FOH position is located at the back of the circle within our control room. The position is central but behind glass. Our fly bars can comfortably fit 12 to 16 lamps depending on playing width. The winch bar can only fit 12 lamps. Touring multi are run house right or via our 3 pin in house multi. 3 to 5 pin converters are available.

Juliet can comfortably fit up to 2 people and Romeo 3 to 4 people. A further 4 dressing rooms are located on our top corridor stairs located by stage door. Dressing room 3: 3 people Dressing room 4: 4 people Dressing room 5: 5 people Dressing room 6: 8 people Additional Space can also be found under stage for up to 10 people. This is normally used as the band room. Green Room: The Green room is located Stage Left and is a communal area for all staff and production members. Within the green room is tea and coffee making facilities, oven, microwave, TV and comfortable seating.
