Students will be disqualified if photocopied music is presented to the judges or used by accompanists (with the exception of facilitating page turns). Students will be disqualified if photocopied music is presented to the judges or used by accompanists (with the exception of facilitating page turns). Category XVII ORGAN Any complete original work of J.S. Bach or two contrasting Chorale Preludes. Memorization not required. Category XVIII VIOLIN Any complete original work of Bach, accompanied or unaccompanied, except the concerti listed in Category XXIV and the Chaconne and Fugue listed in Category XIX. For works with more than 3 movements, 4 main sections or movements will be required for adjudication. The Chaconne from Partita No. 2 is optional. Category XIX VIOLIN Each Year 1. Chaconne from Partita No. 2 in dm 1004 2. Fugue from Sonata No.3 in CM 1005 Category XX VIOLA AND VIOLONCELLO Violoncello works may be used for the viola. The same provisions as for violin. The sonatas for viola da gamba are acceptable for both the viola and the 'cello. Category XXI FLUTE AND OBOE Flute works may be used for the Oboe. The same provisions as for violin. Memorization is optional except for the Flute Suite in b minor listed in Category XXV. Any 4 main sections of the Flute Suite may be played in this category without string quartet appearance. No Photocopies may be used. Category XXII VOICE Two representative arias from any work, with or without recitative, selected from the cantatas, masses, passions, oratorios or arias of Bach. English realization of the text is acceptable.

Category XXIII CLAVIER CONCERTI Memorization is required for all concerti. Use of accompaniment for keyboard Concerti for Branch or Regional appearance is optional. Accompaniment is required for Complete Works Audition, with the exception of the concerti for two claviers, BWV 1060, 1061, and 1062. Teachers may not accompany their own students. Concerto in D (three violins) 1064 Category XXV FLUTE SUITE IN B MINOR, BWV 1067, BWV 1067; OBOE CONCERTO IN F, BWV 1053R Any four main sections of the Flute Suite in B Minor except the Overture may be played: Lentement, Rondeau, Sarabande, Bourrée I and II, Polonaise, Menuet, Badinere. All three movements of the Oboe Concerto in F are required for the Complete Works Audition. This category is for string quartet appearance. Memorization is required. Category XXVI ENSEMBLES Any work of two or more parts of equal importance, all parts being performed by students meeting eligibility requirements. Memorization is not required. Concerti are not eligible in this category.
