WILDCAT TIMES Volume 1, No. 6 February 2015 Tennis Courts Bonvisuto Edition By Nazanin Zaer Recently, our older tennis courts have won a battle and will now be turning into nicer newer tennis courts. We have 1 family to thank The Bonvisuto s! Along with all of the supporters, they helped win the battle and now we will have our tennis courts remodeled. Here s what inspired Mrs. Bonvisuto and Christian Bonvisuto into fighting for it. Mrs. Bonvisuto s family loves to play tennis and they decided that it was time to refurbish the courts. Hopefully they will bring many years of enjoyment to our community she says. I hope they bring happiness and pleasure to all of the families. Christian Bonvisuto was also asked a series of questions. He sent a letter in 2013 to the American Tennis Association. They used to be new, but when I saw them wrecked I wanted to help since it was the closest court. Christian is looking forward to when the courts are ready. I would love to go play there with my friends. Christian s favorite thing about tennis is WINNING! Now that you know the background of the Tennis Courts, be excited to go play in them and have a great time. We would like to thank the Bonvisuto s for their dedication and time towards this action. Lastly, we would like to thank Christian for sending that one letter in 2013 that made this all happen. Super Bowl XLIX By Ty Slesinski The first Super Bowl was held in Los Angeles, CA. 1967. It was the Green Bay Packers vs The Kansas Chiefs. Green Bay won 35-10. This year the rival was the New England Patriots Vs the Seattle Seahawks. It started with the Seahawks kicking off. The first touchdown was scored by the Patriots. The game was close at half with a score of 14-14. The Seahawks got the ball back at the half and at the end of the third quarter it was 24-14 Seahawks. At the start of the fourth quarter the Patriots made a touchdown to make the score 21-24. The Patriots got the ball to Tom Brady who found Gronk for the touchdown. Russell Wilson threw the ball to Jermain Ceruse. Malcolm butler tipped it back to Jermain. They were at the one yard line when Russell Wilson threw the ball but Malcolm Butler intercepted it and the game was over. Patriots win the game 28-24. Tom Brady got MVP.

St. Patrick s Day! By: Odin Wunder St. Patrick s day is not really about clovers and leprechauns, it is about St. Patrick! St. Patrick is a fifth-century Christian missionary and bishop in Ireland. St. Patrick s day is on the date of his death, the 17th of March. He was born in Great Britain and when he was 16, he got captured by Irish pirates and they made him into a slave. But after six years, he escaped and came back to his family. The St. Patrick s Day we know is different, it s thought today to be about clovers and leprechauns. When it s St. Patrick s Day, think about what the day is really about. CREATE YOUR OWN SUPERHERO and SUPERVILLAIN CONTEST Have you ever wanted to be an author or director? How to Catch a Leprechaun By Kate Griffin It s almost time for the little men with orange beards and green outfits to come around! Some people like them for their personalities. Some people like them for their looks. Those are all good reasons to like them, but I think the most common reason that people like them is for their large stash of gold. So how do you get their gold? Most people would set a trap. However, setting a good trap is a challenge. The first step of setting a good trap is looking at what a leprechaun would do. Let s take a look at what a leprechaun looks like. Note: The leprechaun is small, which means that he s fast. They re like small humans, which mean that they re smart. The leprechaun has a pipe. Use that to your advantage. The leprechaun has a pot of gold, too. Now, I know what you re thinking. How is any of that going to help you catch a leprechaun? Set the traps to your knowledge of the leprechaun. Think like you are a leprechaun. If you were a leprechaun, would you climb up a big ladder into a big cup, just to get a piece of gold? No. So try to make your traps realistic. And above all, just have fun! What To Do Over Spring Break? By: Lucas Cardoso Spring break is five days long plus weekends. That s a long time. But what are you going to do over spring break? Here are some ideas on what to do over spring break. Play a board game, play outside, play with friends, read a book, or do a puzzle. If you have a dog you can play with your dog or you can play outside with your dog. If you have a cat you can play with your cat. I hope some of these sound like something fun to do over spring break. Just remember, eat healthy and try to get outside.
