FRANCOPHONIE SINGAPORE MARCH 2015 More than ever the new edition of the Francophonie festival, held in March (10-29) at Alliance française de Singapour, is promoting intercultural dialogue and celebrating the diversity of the French language and francophone communities around the world through a series of cultural events. French speakers and Francophiles can enjoy a concert by Singaporean artist Hossan Leong singing the best of French songs repertoire, a host of quality French-language features and documentaries from around the world, three representations of Montreux Comedy, an exhibition on eco-friendly architecture, culinary tastings, and children s workshops. DETAILED PROGRAMME CONCERT VOYAGE VOYAGE WITH HOSSAN LEONG After his performance in the musical «A Singaporean in Paris» in 2014, French-speaker Singaporean artist Hossan Leong comes back for Francophonie 2015 with a medley of some of the most popular French songs. Les Feuilles mortes, Joe le taxi or La Vie en rose are part of these two concerts programme during which the audience will get the chance to sing along with the artist in French & English. In 15 years, about 400 films were produced. Only 30 films remain today. Almost all the actors were killed during the Khmer Rouges regime and only a few of the directors were able to flee the country. With a few of the survivors telling their stories, Golden Slumbers tries to bring back to life the myths and legends of this lost cinema.
