The singers deliver a poignant memorial to those we ve lost with Adonai Ro I, the 23rd Psalm sung in Hebrew (frequently sung at Jewish funerals). Borukh Ate, Zingt Der Tate is a Yiddish Chanukah song written in 1921, by Solomon Golub and Abraham Reisen. The text describes a father chanting the blessings over the Chanukah Menorah. This
arrangement is part of the Judith Clurman Choral Series. There s plenty more for a well-rounded holiday event. This distinctive cantata employs a mixture of mountain melodies, folk hymns, spirituals, familiar carols, and original music.
