The young orchestra enthusiastically plays world famous works, written by composers such as Antonio Vivaldi, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Strauss. Prof. Igor Malinovsky, the founder of the Orchestra unifies both the Russian and Viennese tradition of playing violin and worked as first concertmaster with me of the best orchestras in Europe, such as Berlin Komische Oper, Munich Bayerisches Staatrchester and Valencia Palau des Arts Reina Sofia. This international experiences he applies to his work with his young and motivated musicians. Beside the concerts in Dresden, the orchestra recently enchanted a big audience in Berlin (Berliner Philharmonie) and in Munich (Residenz München). DRESDNER RESIDENZ KONZERTE

The Marble Hall has got a capacity of 160 seats and it provides a setting for the special experience of a small chamber concert. Guests are welcomed by our helpful young staff members directly in the Marble Hall. During the concert s intermission guests may enjoy the spectacular view over the Zwinger courtyard, while having a glass of excellent sparkling wine. You will meet Papageno, the Queen of the Night and of course Pamina and Tamino, but you will al learn things about this opera, which will ablutely surprise you. This afternoon promises to be a very special one. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is known as Wunderkind of music history. The musicians of the DRESDNER RESIDENZ ORCHESTER dedicate a whole Gala concert to Mozart. The audience will enjoy an afternoon full of the masterworks written by this most famous composer of the claccical era. Chamber music as well as a cross-section of his most popular operas, like Arias om Don Giovanni and Die Hochzeit des Figaro will be played in this concert. It is a group of four violin concerts, each of which gives a musical expression to a sean of the year. This masterpiece provides one of the earliest examples of what was later called program music. Over many generations, since the Century the Dresdner Zwinger had been a perferred venue for classical concerts. August II the Strong, the famous King of Saxony, once ordered the former Dresdner fortress to be converted into an orangery, in order to present a new location for his n s ding. Matthäus Daniel Pöppelmann was comissioned to build a giant pleasure garden with pavillons, gardens and galleries. At one of those pavillons the Marble Hall impresses with beautiful simplicity and magnicent acoustics. The original Marble Hall was destroyed in World War II and have never been rebuilt completely. The floor once consisted of marble and the ceiling was decorated with paintings. Access informations: Access om Zwinger courtyard: Pass through the café in the French Pavillon and then pass through the famous Nymphenbad. There are stairs leading upon the second floor, where you will find the entrance. Access om Theater square: Pass the Semperopera in direction of Zwingerteich Garden. On the left hand side there is a small wall, leading upon the second floor. This access is barrier-ee. Please note that toilets are not situated inside the Marble Hall.
