Gym Audio Video Setup Instructions Section 1 Setting up the Microphone Open trap door in center front of stage floor.
Microphone is stored in Gym Office. Locate microphone and inspect connector to ensure it is clean and note the orientation of the 3 prongs in the connector.
Inside the trap door to the left side of the stage note orientation on connector and insert microphone cable connector fully into the socket. Note the release lever to the right of the connector which will have to be pressed to disconnect the cable later after use.

Carefully close trap door and ensure cable comes up through cutout in trap door plate as shown.
Locate black audio control panel on the left front wall of stage area.
Ensure power switch is on and use the labeled MIC volume adjust knob to the left to control the output level of the microphone (normally around 7 on the dial). Carefully disconnect microphone cable connection when done and ensure trap door on stage floor is fully closed. Please always return microphone to the Gym Office when you are done.
Section 2 Using the video screen Locate the white video screen control switch on the front wall behind the left side of the stage.
Press and hold the down button until the screen is fully lowered as shown below.
Please press and hold the up button when completed to return the screen to the up position.
Section 3 Using the portable Fender Amplifier for louder audio from electronic devices Locate the portable Fender amplifier which is normally kept somewhere on the HBS stage. Position the amplifier to the center front of the stage near the available power outlet.
Connect the power cable as shown and plug it also into the available power outlet and turn on the power switch to the ON position. Connect only the provided audio cable to the stereo line jacks as shown ensuring correct polarity by using white and red color coded connections. Make sure no other cables, connectors, or adapters plugged into any other jacks as this will affect the amplifier s operation.
Set MIC 1 and MIC2/INST controls all the way to the left to the MIN position.
Set the LINE and MASTER LEVEL controls to the center position to start.
Connect the other end of the provided stereo audio cable to the audio output connector of your MP3 Player, computer, IPod, Stereo, misc. audio output device etc. Adjust the audio output levels on your connected device in addition to the LINE and MASTER LEVEL controls on the Fender portable amplifier until you get the desired audio level. Please power off all equipment, disconnect cables, and return items to the Gym Office when complete.
Section 4 Using the Video projector on a cart Locate the projector on a cart that is normally located in storage room 2A in the HBS Café as shown below.
Position the cart in the front of the stage as shown above and lower the screen as in Section 2 and setup the portable amplifier as in Section 3. Plug in the long cart power cord and power strip to the power outlet in the front of the stage.
Ensure the blue video cable is connected to the Computer 1 IN connector on the rear of the Video projector.
Set up your laptop computer on the middle section of the video cart. Connect the other end of the blue video cable from the video projector to your computer video out connector. Connect the stereo audio cable to your audio output on your computer. An example is as shown above. Adjust your computer to play video and adjust the audio out sound settings to the desire audio level. Turn on the projector using the remote control. The projector should automatically locate the source signal on the Computer 1 IN connector but you can use the remote to do this if needed.
Fine tune the projector Zoom and Focus settings as well as the adjustable from feet and the wheeled cart position to get the projection onto the screen as desired and in focus. There is an additional power outlet on the cart power strip to plug in your laptop computer. Please shutdown all equipment and return it when finished.
