Performane Suggestions Your hymn arrangement is designed to be very flexible in aommodating many different instruments. Along with standard brass quartet/quintet and timpani parts you will also find parts written for duet and/or trio instruments. The Duet parts are interhangeable between different instruments so that if you have a trumpet, alto sax and trombone (or any or ombination), eah instrument may use its own part, and you an have m alternate between 1 st, 2 nd and desant parts. You may want to use parts for first verse, solo or unison melody with different instruments on various middle verses, and n parts with desant on final verse. It s your hoie depending on your needs and abilities of your musiians. The brass arrangement will work as a trio, quartet, quintet, large brass hoir or even a band of mixed brass, wind and string instruments. All parts are marked with doublings and substitutions, and performane suggestions are listed on bottom of page. You may want to begin hymn with a brass introdution eir entire verse, or a portion of it n have m play with ongregation for 1 st verse; seond verse an be aompanied by piano/organ alone (and guitars if you have m); for third verse you may want to feature a solo instrument with piano/organ, and n bring in entire ensemble along with desant for final verse. Again, it s your hoie. Experiment with different olors and ombinations. Along with duet, band and orhestra parts you will also find a guitar and voie lead sheet in this hymn edition. The guitar hords will work with piano and instrumental parts, or you may use guitar by itself perfet for small garings, retreats or servies where no piano is available. If you have any questions, or if we an ever help you in any way, please ontat us. We re here for you, and we re always happy to help. www.uthbertpraise.om randyadams@uthbertpraise.om
