2 The United States: The American Presidency: Early American Presidents Mr. Schenk Name: Period: Directions: You will research and become an expert on one of the Early American presidents. You will gather biographical information about your president and then you will present your research to the class. You must hand in a typed report. This is not a research paper. It is a biographical report. You may also choose to present your material in power point. You must place a copy of your presentation in your folder. Name of Your President: Your project will include the following: Report must follow in this order. (10 pts.) Title Page. This is the first page. Please see the attached. (20 pts.) A Presidential Profile/Portrait. You must give general biographical information about your president. See the attached page for further explanation. Please include a picture of your president on this page. Remember, cite your picture! Also, place a citation at bottom of page. (20 pts.) His Presidency. You must provide four to five paragraphs that identify your president s accomplishments or achievements, or in some cases lack there of. Please provide an evaluation of his presidency. You must also cite your information by using footnotes and a proper bibliography page. (10 pts.) Political Cartoon/Document/Image Analysis: Please analyze a political cartoon, a document, or an image about your president. Please see your Analysis sheets for examples. Remember to cite your image. You may use the internet for this. (10 pts.) A Bibliography. You are responsible for five different sources (one book, one encyclopedia and an internet source). Please see the attached page. This is located at the end of your report. You must use the American National Biography! Only one internet source! CITE EVERYTHING! (20 pts.) An oral presentation. Everyone must participate!
