THEATER BUS For the Over 55s 1976-2018 January-February 2018 Theater Bus, Inc. is a nonprofit organization committed to enriching the quality of life for all adults over 55 residing in the greater Madison community by providing safe, affordable, escorted outings to theatrical, cultural and social events. Theater Bus, Inc. is on the move. Beginning January 1, 2018 we will be in our new office, in the Vantage Place II building on the corner of Yellowstone Dr. and Enterprise Lane. (Suite 214). This will be our new pick-up point for weekend trips. We will kick off our 2018 events at the Palace Theater in the Dells to see the Marvelous Wonderettes. This show featuring over 30 classic 50s and 60s hits will keep you smiling on a musical trip down memory lane! Next, we are off to Sunset Playhouse for their very entertaining production of the 1930 s comedy, Room Service. This trip includes lunch at the Western Lakes Golf Club in Pewaukee. For February, we have picked two shows close to Madison to support our local area community theaters. We are moving New Year - New Office Sunday, Feb. 11, we will head to Sun Prairie for lunch at Buck & Honey s, followed by Sun Prairie Civic Theater s performance of Noises Off. This is a rollicking backstage farce about a second-rate theatrical troupe. Our second pick for February is Bus Stop, a 1955 comedy. It is presented by the Verona Area Community Theater in their new building. We will dine at Rex s Innkeeper in Waunakee before the show. Enclosed with this bulletin is our year end appeal. Your tax deductible donation will brighten the life of an older adult and support the arts! Thank you and best wishes for 2018! ~ Bonnie P.S. Our office will be closed Dec. 11 through Jan. 1, 2018. We will open Jan. 2, 2018 in our new office location. Theater Bus Inc. 437 S. Yellowstone Dr. Suite 214 Madison, WI 53719 Directions to our new office: Traveling west on Mineral Point Road (from downtown): Go past Island Drive and past Oakwood Village (on your left). Return to East side: 5:30 p.m. This smash off-broadway hit takes you to the 1958 Springfield High School prom where we meet four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts! As we learn about their lives and loves, the girls serenade us with classic 50s and 60 s hits. At the time of printing this bulletin, the menu is yet to be determined. Meals typically include a salad, bread, a main entrée, starch, vegetable, and dessert. A nimble-witted producer, living on credit with several actors in a Broadway hotel, is desperately in need of a good script. He finds one, and, by great good luck, he also finds an angel with $15,000. Over the course of a hectic few days, the producer plays hide-and-seek with the angel who wants to withdraw his financial support. He outwits creditors, and at the very last moments, despite ludicrous and unexpected obstacles, manages to mount his play. Lunch at Western Lakes Golf Club is your choice of : *Grilled Chicken or *Crab stuffed Sole or *Garlic stuffed Pork Mignon. Dessert is Chef s Choice VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION Our volunteers make Theater Bus possible. They are our CPA, Office Staff, Committees, Trip Leaders, Escorts, and the Board of Directors. And they pay the same price for our trips that participants pay. Thanks to all of you, Theater Bus succeeds! We thank the Pleasant T. Rowland Foundation for their generous donation to underwrite the cost of printing this newsletter. This newsletter is printed by Thysse.

All roads are blocked, and the travelers on board have to stay in the diner until morning. Cherie, a nightclub singer, is being pursued by a young cowboy. The cowhand is ready to sling her over his shoulder and carry her, alive and kicking, all the way to Montana. As a counterpoint to the main romance, the owner of the cafe and the bus driver who have previously only spent time in passing, find time to develop a friendship of their own. A middle-age scholar comes to terms with himself and a young girl who works in the cafe also gets her first taste of romance. Lunch at Rex s Innkeeper is your choice of: * Prime Rib or * Deep Fried Shrimp or *Chicken Cordon Bleu or * Vegetable Stir-fry. Dessert is Chef s Choice Our thanks to the Meriter Friends 4 Friends program for their generous donation to our Scholarship fund.
