Welcome to the Station Theatre The Station Theatre is one of the best equipped and comfortable amateur theatres in Hampshire and along the south coast of England. Cleverly converted from a railway goods shed left over from the closure of the station in the 1960s, this theatre has been providing top quality entertainment since 1996. The theatre is run by the non-profit making Hayling Island Amateur Dramatic Society (HIADS) who put on around 6 HIADS shows a year and support an equal number of shows by other amateur and professional groups. The Station Theatre is equipped with modern lighting and sound systems, has stepped seating for 144, a licensed bar, tea and coffee facilities, wheelchair access, hearing loop and free car parking. On the imminent arrival of the boys Godfather, Posket is cajoled by his supposedly 14 year old stepson into a night of high spirited carousing resulting in a police raid. A night of desperate attempts to conceal identities comes to a head when Posket finds himself presiding as the Magistrate the following day. 24th-31st May, 7:45pm, 7
Comedian Paul Kerensa, winner of BBC and ITV comedy awards, comes to the Station Theatre for an evening of laughter and music. Described as Ingenious by the Evening Standard, Paul Kerensa is a well-known stand-up comedian and cowriter of Miranda, among other TV shows. Author of So a Comedian Walks Into a Church Confessions of a Kneel Down Stand-up. Also on the bill, toe tapping music from the Hayling Huggers Ukelele Group.
