SHORT SYNOPSIS FORST is a wealthy, well-organized man. When we first meet him, he seems to be the king of the world. One day, he leaves the corporation, where he is as a vice-president. The damage he leaves behind makes his return very unlikely. Forest, 4 am, several years later. A half-savage, unkempt and dirty hobo is setting up snares. You can just barely recognize Forst in him. He lives in the woods in peace with nature, in a shelter he built himself. His only companion is a three-legged dog. His food is mostly animals he hunts for. One day, a 13 year old girl named JADZIA appears at his doorstep. Forst has to make changes in his life once again... SYNOPSIS FORST is a wealthy, well organised man. He wears tailored suits, expensive watches and shoes. When we meet him he seems to be the king of the world. One day, in a spectacular way, he decides to leave a corporation, where he works as a vice president. The damages he leaves behind make his return very unlikely. Forest, 4 am, several years later. A half savage, unkempt, dirty hobo in rags sets up snares. We recognise that it s Forst. He lives in the woods, in a shelter he built himself, together with a three legged dog. He hunts for animals and eats leftovers from NATA a prostitute, who works the nearby highway. They have a good connection, spending time talking about literature and life. One evening Nata becomes a victim of the local pimps wars. Forst sinks into despair. He realises, she was the only thing that kept him alive. We discover their true relationship through flashbacks. Grieving Forst digs a hole in the floor of his shelter and lays there, covered with soil and leaves. A few days after Nata s death, outside Forst s shelter, a thirteen year old shows up. Jadzia demands attention, without explaining who she is and why she run away from the city. The man doesn t want any company but she is stubborn and has no intention to leave. They set up some rules. Forst lets her stay for a trial period. Days go by and Jadzia learns to function in the forest and live with Forst. She puts up with him surprisingly well and in turn notices some changes in him. Forst becomes less harsh, when teaching her about the life in the woods - he slowly opens up to her. Unfortunately Jadzia s past catches up with her, when Nata s old boss shows up, claiming parental rights over her. He reveals that he wants her to start working the highway as well. Forst brutally murders him. Afterwards our odd couple faces a crisis. Jadzia leaves and Forst goes back to his old habits he digs a hole in the ground and covers himself up with leaves. In the sequences of underground memories we discover the truth about the cause of his escape. He lost his daughter in a car accident and cannot deal with the guilt. Forst picks himself up and starts looking for Jadzia.

Numerous of times his films have been awarded at festivals in Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Tokio, Moscow and Montreal. He comes from a family with strong connections to the film industry. His great grandparents owned one of the first cinemas in Łódź, his grandfather was a film producer, his father and sister were editors, his two nephews are a director and a director of photography. Film and photography were also two passions of his late daughter Zuzia.
Krzysztof Majchrzak Born in '48. Film and theatre actor and musician. One of the most recognisable character actor in Polish cinema. He is a lecturer at Warsaw Theatre Academy. At the beginning of his career he worked with the National Theatre. For many years a member of Powszechny Theatre in Warsaw. Since 1991 he has been an actor in the Studio Theatre in Warsaw. She performed in National Stary Theatre and Polonia Theatre in Warsaw. So far she has stared in over 20 films and 11 TV series such as Days of Honour, Special forces and On the Edge.
