CHARACTER TRAITS You can judge a character by their thoughts, words, and actions. Identify the characteristics of the characters as you read the story.

Is Mack a good or bad person? Explain your answer and support it with character traits that you wrote for him. (4 sentence minimum)

Ivan is an artist. But often it is hard for humans to understand his pictures. Use your non-dominant hand to draw a picture of an object.

Exposition: introduction to the characters and setting Rising Action: develops the conflict (problem) of the story Climax: is the most exciting part of the story where the conflict has the most tension Falling Action: the result of the conflict (problem) is given and the story goes to the end Resolution: the story comes to an end and any unanswered questions are answered
