FR-4x Parameter List By using the editor you can make detailed settings that cannot be made on the unit itself. The following parameters can be edited only via the editor. * For details on the parameters that can be edited on the unit itself, refer to the reference manual. Accordion Edit Reed Config Status Off, On, On-Cassotto Off : No sound On : Sound On-Cassotto : On-Cassotto (muffled sound) Bandoneon, I-Folk, I-Folk, Classic, Cajun, Jazz, F-Folk, D-Folk, Organetto, F-Folk, Classic, Reed: Type Select a type of instrument. Studio, Tradition, Steierische, 6 OldItaly, TexMex, Trikitixa, F-Jazz, 8 Classic3, Bajan 8 8 + 4 5-/3 -/3 Octave -~0~+ This parameter allows you to transpose the selected register one octave up or down. This can be used for two purposes: to quickly correct the pitch that results from the active reeds (see above) or to avoid overlaps of the selected register when using an ORCHESTRA sound. (The ORCHESTRA section also provides an Octave parameter.) This parameter can be set for each reed/footage individually. It allows you to create the desired mix (volume balance) for the active reeds. Volume Off, 40~STD~+40 This is a relative parameter: its value is added to or subtracted from the standard value ( STD ). As a rule, first decide which reed is most important and set its Volume parameter to STD. Then reduce or increase the volume of the ancillary reeds to create the desired balance. Bass Edit Reed Config Status Off, On Off : No sound On : Sound Reed: Bandoneon, I-Folk, I-Folk, Classic, Cajun, Jazz, F-Folk, D-Folk, 6 Type Organetto, F-Folk, Classic, Studio, Select a type of instrument. 8 Tradition, Steierische, Trikitixa, F-Jazz, Classic3, Bajan 8-4 4 Volume Off, 40~STD~+40 This parameter can be set for each reed/footage individually. It allows you to create the desired mix (volume balance) for the active reeds. This is a relative parameter: its value is added to or subtracted from the standard value ( STD ). As a rule, first decide which reed is most important and set its Volume parameter to STD. Then reduce or increase the volume of the ancillary reeds to create the desired balance. 9

FR-4x Parameter List Free Bass Edit Reed Config Status Off, Low, High, Whole Specifies which left-hand button keys are used to play the reeds. By changing the Status for each reed, you can play different sounds in different key regions. Off : Sounds are not played. Low : Only the lower half plays sounds. High : Only the upper half plays sounds. Whole : All the left-hand button keys play sounds. NOTE Assigning the same partial STATUS ( High or Low ) to both reeds means that only half the number of available bass buttons can be used. Reed: Bandoneon, I-Folk, I-Folk, 6 Classic, Cajun, Jazz, F-Folk, 8 D-Folk, Organetto, F-Folk, Type Classic, Studio, Tradition, Select a type of instrument. Steierische, Trikitixa, F-Jazz, Classic3, Bajan This is the last parameter that can be set for each reed individually. It allows you to create the desired mix (volume balance) for the active reeds. Volume Off, 40~STD~40 This is a relative parameter: its value is added to or subtracted from the standard value ( STD ). As a rule, first decide which reed is most important and set its Volume parameter to STD. Then reduce or increase the volume of the ancillary reeds to create the desired balance. 0

FR-4x Parameter List Organ Edit 6' The harmonic bars are assigned to sounds of different footage (pitch). You can create a wide variety of organ sounds by layering these sounds. The volume will be loudest when the harmonic bars are fully lowered; there will be no sound when the harmonic bars are fully raised. 5/3' Harmonic bars and the pitch of the sound When the middle C (C4) note is pressed, each harmonic bar will sound the following notes. 8' 4' HarmonicBar /3' 0-8 6 5 /3 8 4 /3 3/5 /3 one octave below 5th root 8th th 5th 7th 9th nd ' 3/5' 8 = There are three colors of harmonic bars. Those that are in octave multiples of 8 are white, those that are not octave multiples are black, and the lowerpitched bars are brown. /3' ' A tonewheel organ s overtone structure In certain regions of a tonewheel organ s keyboard, the overtones will not correspond to the configuration of the harmonic bars. In order to prevent unpleasantly high or low pitches, the high footage is folded back down in one octave units for the high range, while the low footage is folded back up in one-octave units for the low range. The FR-4x faithfully reproduces this characteristic of tonewheel organs. Leakage Level 0~7 Specifies the level of the effect with respect to the unprocessed organ signal. Percussion VibratoChorus Switch Off, On You can enable the Percussion sound. Harmonic Volume Decay nd, 3rd Normal, Soft Fast, Slow nd : The Percussion use the -/3 harmonic bar. 3rd : The Percussion use the 4 harmonic bar. Sets the percussion sound s level. Normal : normal level Soft : softer level. Specifies the desired attack (aggressiveness) of the percussion sound. Fast : fast and more abrupt Slow : slow and longer. Switch Off, On You can apply vibrato or chorus to the organ sound. Type V-, V-, V-3 The effect will intensify as the vibrato type (V-, V-, V-3) or chorus type C-, C-, C-3 (C-, C-, C-3) moves to a higher number Vintage 50, 60, 70 Tonewheel used in tonewheel organs of 950, 960, 970. Level 0~7 Use this parameter to set the Vibrato or chorus level.

FR-4x Parameter List Overdrive Rotary Switch Off, On Allows you to switch the overdrive effect on or off. Drive 0~7 Specifies how strongly the sound is distorted. A value toward 7 raise the gain, adding distortion to the sound. Level 0~7 Specifies the level of the effect with respect to the unprocessed organ signal. Level 0~7 You can adjust the level of rotary effect. Allows yo to specify the level of the rotary signal that is transmitted to the reverb Reverb Send 0~7 effect. Choose 0 if the sound should not be processed by the organ reverb processor. Allows yo to specify the level of the rotary signal that is transmitted to the organ Chorus Send 0~7 chorus effect. Choose 0 if the sound should not be processed by the organ chorus processor. Sets the organ sound s sensitivity to changes in the force with which the bellows is moved. The higher the value, the more the bellows will influence the organ sound. This function temporarily increases the level of the harmonic bars as you move the bellows while playing on the keyboards. It has no effect if all harmonic bars are already set to 8 All harmonic bars use level 8. Crescendo Off, ~00 Thresh Max Bellows Thresh Min 0~0 Threshold Min (this value cannot be higher than the Thresh Max value) 0~0 Threshold Max (this value cannot be lower than the Thresh Min value) The harmonic bars use the Footage levels settings. Harmonic bars whose level can still be increased become louder. This parameter allows you to specify the pressure you need to apply to the bellows to start triggering the Crescendo effect. Set a relatively high value if you want to change the footage levels only for accented notes. This parameter allows you to specify the maximum pressure that will set the levels of all virtual harmonic bars to maximum level. Choosing a value below 0 means that the Crescendo effect is no longer applied when you press the bellows very forcefully.
