Oxana Shilova is the leading soprano soloist of the Mariinsky Theater and has collaborated with Valery Gergiev, Pablo Heras-Casado, Gianandrea Noseda, Vladimir Fedoseev, Tugan Sokhiev, Mickhael Güttler, Nikolay Znaider, Constantine Orbelian, Mikhail Tatarnikov, Fabio Mastrangelo, Yuri Bashmet, Charles Roubaud, Alain Maratrat, Francesca Zambello, Stephen Lawless, Michael Mayer, Isabella Bywater and Claudia Solti. Ms. Shilova has performed on the international stages including the Palau de les arts Reina Sofia, the Dallas Opera, the Bergen National Opera, the Opéra de Lyon, the De Nederlandse Opera, in Reims, Montpelier, Avignon, Bordeaux, Toulouse and Marseilles. She is a regular participant at international festivals with highlights including the Music Festival Stars of the White Nights (2008-2017), the Moscow Easter Festival (2013), summer festivals in Baden-Baden (2016) and Edinburgh (2016). Her recent operatic highlights include Violetta LA TRAVIATA at the best Russian opera theaters (including Bolshoi) and the European debut at the Sofia National Opera in May 2016. In October 2016 she made her role debut as Micaëla in CARMEN at the Primorsky Stage of Mariinsky Theatre. During the White Night Festival 2017 she made a distinguished debut as Musetta in LA BOHÈME. Ms. Shilova has a vast concert repertoire including Handel s Messiah, Mozart s Exsultate, Jubilate, Abendempfindung, Bach s Magnificat, Haydn s Creation, Pergolesi s Stabat Mater, Orff s Carmina Burana, Stravinsky s Les Noces. Additionally, she has appeared in recitals with the romances of Debussy, Chausson, Rimsky-Korsakov, Tchaikovsky, Glinka, Rachmaninov, and Medtner. In May 2016 she opened the festival «St. Petersburg Palaces» at the Hermitage Museum with Stephen Costello and Constantine Orbelian. Also in May 2016 she performed with Anna Netrebko and Ildar Abdrazakov at the festive concert «Classic Gala on Palace Sqaure» in St. Petersburg. In March 2017 Ms.
Shilova performed the premiere of the Rose of the World (mysterium for soloists, choir and orchestra) with Vladimir Fedoseev, Agunda Kulaeva, Alexey Tatarinsev at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. Also in March 2017 Oxana has presented her new solo recital program consisting of songs and rare arias from Bellinni, Donizetti, Verdi, Gounod, Massnet, Bizet at the Small Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonia. Ms Shilova continues to sing this program at the best venue in Russia and abroad in the new season. Oxana Shilova was born in the city of Almalyk, Tashkent region of the Soviet republic of Uzbekistan. She is a graduate from the St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire. She has participated in master classes with Joan Sutherland, Elena Obrazstova, Mirella Freni, Renata Scotto, Ileana Cotrubas and Placido Domingo. She is the winner of numerous international music competitions including the Stanislaw Moniuszko International Competition in 2007, the III International Elena Obraztsova Competition in 2003, the International Opera Singers' Competition in Geneva (2nd prize and special prize for best performance of a French work) in 2003 and the V International Rimsky-Korsakov Young Opera Singer's Competition in St Petersburg in 2002.
