Reference or Bibliography In order to have a citation, you need a reference list at the end of your document. This list is REFERENCES or BIBLIOGRAPHY. Example: References [1]. Burton, Alice, 2012, Package Wavelet Transform, IEEE transaction on Signal Processing, Vol.12, No.1, pp.127-131. [2]. Simon, Jamie, 2002, Wavelet a tour, Prentice Hall, 2nd Edition [3]. Smith, B. J., 2009, Haar Wavelet, an analysis, Journal of Signal Processing, American Journal Society.
Reference or Bibliography Note: The style of your bibliography depend on the style you prefer. It must be written CONSISTENTLY. English speaking countries/cultures write the FAMILY NAME, FIRST NAME. Or FAMILY NAME, FIRST NAME SECOND NAME. But it is not an absolute way. Again it depend to the style you follow.
For one or two writer, you write the list of the name, for three of more, your write et al. e.g. URL : [6]. -, 2009, The Wavelet Tutorial, http://www.tutorial.com/wavelet/, accessed on 26th September 2013. [4]. Burdian, Anton and Hasan, Ferdy, 2012, Introduction to... [5]. Rika S., et al., 2014, Teknik Wavelet untuk... URL : [6]. -, 2009, The Wavelet Tutorial, http://www.tutorial.com/wavelet/, accessed on 26th September 2013. In technical paper, normally Reference is ordered according to the appearance in the text.
Citation Citation means that you mention or you refer any text in your in Bibliography into your document. Example of CITATION: Previous researches in [1] and [2] indicated that... However, B.J. Smith [3] found that Haar Wavelet is not effective in... Rika et al. [4] showed that...
Citation Common Mistake in References and Citation are: 1 Writing Reference inconsistently 2 Writing Reference but all are not cited 3 Writing Reference but some are not cited 4 Citing a reference, but the reference is not in the Bibliography
Footnote Footnote is a side explanation. It is not belongs to main plot of your story. E.g. Watson and Crick were the discovered of Double Helix structure of DNA. The found the structure after studying the experiment results of Rosalind Franklin 1. Both of the discovered were awarded Nobel Prize in Medicine Category 1962... 1 Rosalind Franklin is among the rare woman in Biochemistry. She was 21 years old when join the laboratory. Her famous publication for example...

Sentence and Paragraph Paragraph contain one idea/topik/purpose. One paragraph contains at least 3 sentences.
Sentence and Paragraph Example of one paragraph. IDEA : How to convert RGB to Gray image. In this research, the next step after color adjustment is converting the RGB image to gray. The basic idea of converting RGB image to gray is to convert three layer RGB to one layer. The easiest way of conversion is to add all three layer and divide the result by 3. Other alternative of conversion is to assign each layer with a certain constant and summing them after assignment.

Sub-chapter/Section Section should consist of minimal 2 Paragraphs.
Equation Give the number of your EQUATION. Use symbols (not words) Give explaination of the symbols. You MAY or MAY NOT cite your equation in the text common mistakes : to copy and paste the equation from PDF or other sources. (Type it yourself!)
Equation Use capital when you cite an equation. e.q. According to Equation (1)...
Figure Give the FIGURE number. Give the FIGURE explaination BELOW the figure. You MUST cite your figure at least once in the text common mistakes : unclear figure (too small, line too thin, etc).

Table Give the TABLE number. Give the TABLE explaination ABOVE the table. Avoid table split in the text (if possible) You MUST cite your table at least once in the text common mistakes : putting the explaination BELOW the table. Table split in two or more pages.
Table Use capital when you cite a Table. e.q. As we can see in Table 3...
Plagiarism Plagiarism is a failure to acknowledge the source author. Also : using other proprietary sources without permission. How to avoid plagiarism: Mention the SOURCE of figure or table if you take it from other source Don t copy and paste. Read the source sentence, and reformulate to your own words. Give the citation properly.
