If you re picking up tickets the night of the show, you ll find them at the Will Call desk, which is located at or just outside the Box Office window. The Loew Auditorium has its own Box Office that opens 30 minutes before showtime. Ushers at the entrance of the theater will direct you to your seats. For wheelchair access, use the elevator next to the Lebanon Street entrance. THE MOORE THEATER If you re attending a show in The Moore Theater, go to The Moore Lobby near the front entrance. Check on your ticket for your seating area if you are seated in the orchestra section, use the doors in the main floor lobby. If your seats are in the balcony, head up the stairs or take the elevator directly across from the mailboxes, press TOH, then walk down the hallway. LOEW AUDITORIUM The Loew Auditorium, where most movies are shown, is found in the Black Family Visual Arts Center (BVAC), at 22 Lebanon Street, next door to the Hop. What to Expect in the Performance It s good to arrive in the theater at least 15 minutes before the performance is scheduled to begin. Most shows start right on time. In the lobby there will be ushers checking tickets and helping people find their seats. The house manager oversees the ushers, and can answer most questions you have about the show. They will know the show s length and whether there s an intermission or break between sections. If you re carrying a backpack or other large bag, the ushers will ask you to leave it in the lobby during the performance to keep the rows and aisles clear. Food and drink (except water) are not allowed in the theaters, with the exception of the Loew Auditorium. You ll be asked to turn off your cell phone so that it does not ring, vibrate or light up during a performance. Photography is not allowed at most shows. Other devices such as laptop computers and tablets are not permitted for use during a show. For most performances, the theater will be dark. For some classical music performances, the lights are dimmed so that you can still read your program. The sound level varies depending on the type of show. If it s too loud, you can request free earplugs from the house manager in the lobby. Some performers encourage the audience to participate and show their enthusiasm by singing along, dancing or clapping. It s OK to dance in the aisles of the theater. Just be considerate of others view of the stage. During some classical music performances, the audience waits until the very end of a piece to clap, and does not applaud between movements, or sections, of one piece of music.
